Hello

Sorry wasn't sure what to put caption as or what group to post this in!

Just wanted some advice really, I have a 3 month old, he was sleeping through which was amazing, but wakes up and stirs for dummy now quite a lot.

Just wanted to know what to do as I'm clueless, shall I add in one bottle during night? So he goes off til morning or shall I keep putting dummy in so he doesn't get used to night feeds?

I'm more than happy to get up in the night and give him that bottle - but wasn't sure if I should keep putting dummy in as he falls asleep but then wakes again for dummy!

Sorry if I sound clueless it's because I am! I have a daughter who's 8, and I just cannot remember much! So feel like a new mum to a newborn all over!

Thanks for advice in advance xxx

My little one did this, it was when their sleep pattern changed and they were just adjusting. She was still quite young so wasn’t able to feel around for the dummy herself.

If he settles easily with the dummy then I wouldn’t introduce a bottle of milk.

If he was still crying with the dummy then I’d give him a cuddle to sleep to see if that worked. Then I’d offer a bottle if he was still unsettled.

Does he feed well during the day? If so and you know he’s not hungry then no harm in not giving him a bottle as he will soon start waking for a night feed again.

@Hiddenvoice ok great thank you! I will just persist with the dummy for now! He doesn't cry so he's ok! He feeds very well bless him!

I miss sleep haha xx
