What to do on maternity leave ?

How do you find out what events, classes, etc are on in your area whilst on Mat leave ?

Word of mouth, NCT, Instagram, Facebook, GP, Health Visitor? Where do you look? Leisure centre ?

We have a Facebook page called the parents of then our town name, this is how I found the baby classes and people post events on there as well

Social media is a good shout. We also have a lots for tots magazine - you may have something like this?

There’s a Facebook group in my town for mums. I didn’t really use that though and started to google baby sensory classes in my local area. I then found classes on at our local library.
Once I started going to classes and chatting to people, I learned about other classes and groups.

Your health visitor might have a list. Look up your local family hub (was called a sure start centre)

Happity app is brilliant, and mum blogs for your area. Local council for Childrens Centres. Better app for leisure centres (or whatever company runs your local centres). Noticeboard for church hall that runs at least one class (then you find out about the other classes being run there).
