Not sure if this is the right place to post this,
Just looking for some advice and to see if any of you experienced this with your baby and if you ever figured it out?
My baby is 6 weeks old and formula fed (on cow & gate). The first week of his life he pooed multiple times a day. After that he only pood and still is every 3-5 days. I took him to the dr and dr prescribed him a laxative (it doesn't work the best)
We then found him to be very colicky, we started giving him infacol before feeds which did help, but then just stopped so we turned to gripe water which doesn't seem to help all that much.
About a week ago he started spewing quite a lot during and after his feeds, spewing most of the bottle. I changed him to cow & gate comfort for colic & constipation which seemed to have eased him for a few days but now he's back to the same but worse?
He's screaming every night around 5pm-12am on and off which isn't like him, (he usually sleeps 9 till after midnight)
From the crying he sounds as if he's in agony! His face is bright red and he can barely get a breath in when he's screaming.
He seems to be okay during the day but it's more the evening and at night.
I'm not sure if he's constipated or if it's colic or something else like the formula.
The health visitor told me he's not constipated because his poos are soft which makes sense I suppose.
He is also on MAM bottles which are supposed to be anti colic, he's also now on the formula for colic so I'm not sure. There's also been no change to the regularity of the poos even tho he's on formula for constipation also.
What do you think? It's upsetting to see him scream in pain.
