the TV remote is in the freezer, your car keys are down the loo, and there are little smears of food at knee height down each corridor!

very precise csws

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/03/2008 21:28

I remember his birthday (I hope) because it fell on the day of the MN Christmas meet in 2006, and is a date shared with an old school friend.

mustrunmore · 20/03/2008 21:31

God, even I didnt know his age that precisely

Not going to bore you with the details, but he's def entered the age of flying off the handle at the slightest thing he doesnt like/agree with. Alot of 'I hate you' and 'if you dont do xxxx then I wont do yyyy', and alot of talking back, rude name calling etc. He was a nightmare when I picked him up today, got better, then flew into one at dh, so I went beserk (dh is still basically half paralysed on the top of his body so I'm a bit nicer to him/more defensive of him than usual); ds1 tantrum from about 6pm, still going at 6.50 when I left for aerobics. Oh, its really not worth even discussing.

I'm not happy

Might well be on here tomorrow, seeing as we have no friends! Depends if the pc will turn on or not tomorrow though.

mustrunmore · 20/03/2008 21:32

Of course, if flame had known it precisely, I'd hav assumed it s because she was stalking me because she loves me

EachPeachPearMum · 20/03/2008 21:35

well- we should have known csws would have it so precisely....it's all in that spreadsheet she has...

does this mean he started primary school in sept? I have heard many mums saying their children lose it at this age, presumably because school day is so long, and they suddenly are introduced to many other types of behaviour previously unknown to them.....otherwise known as peer influence.

DontDreamItBeIt · 20/03/2008 22:01

He starts in reception this September.

Paralysed...have I forgotten something?

I have no advice, but lots of sympathy, sorry

Flamesparrow · 20/03/2008 22:03

I've missed something... why is he paralysed???

Sorry MRM - I don't even know my own children that well. I had to stop and think about it when nursery asked his middle name the other day

DontDreamItBeIt · 20/03/2008 22:04

Slightly relieved that Flame has missed the paralysis, too.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/03/2008 22:14

Well I'll stick my neck out and say that I reckon mrm hasn't told us anything about this paralysis before. The odd throwaway comment about him being a bit sore maybe, but certainly nothing more than that. Is it a DIY related injury, or have you been beating him up ?

We are supposed to be going on an Easter Egg hunt tomorrow morning, but will only be going if weather is reasonable, so if it pisses down then we might all descend on you mrm! Except that in-laws are supposed to be calling in too .

Flamesparrow · 20/03/2008 22:20

I know he was having dentistry done - very sore from that and MRM being dramatic???

mustrunmore · 21/03/2008 08:50

No EPPM, he wont start school till Sept (if he gets a place )

Sorry for not filling you all in on dh's catalogue of disasters;blame it on the intermittent internet access!
After his horrendous dental visit (half an hour of literally gouging his root out, stitches etc), he had a nerve and muscle reaction to the process, and couldnt move his whole top side; arm, hand, fingers. This was after half a day of aching bone pain. He's been goggling it, and its apparently not all that rare. He's still got his wrist strapped up and cant use his shoulder much. Oh, and cant open a bag of crisps! I reckon he'll be better just in time for his follow up visit on Friday

So, todays plans... erm...wash hair, hoover , clean bathroom, sort boys clothes drawers. What an exciting day off school!! We're going to see if it perks up in a while, as at the moomnt irs way too cold to ventue to the park!

mustrunmore · 21/03/2008 08:52

Would love a visit csws BTW; better get on with that cleaning just incase!!! You can bring thr inlaws if necessary too; we dont mind!

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/03/2008 08:55

Sounds nasty mrm

My plans for today also involved going somewhere free like the park, bu it is too cold here (for me...he dc don't care)

FIL is doing his usual great job of irritating the hell out of me. He lasted about three hours before he told dd1 that if she stopped wearing her glasses her eyes would get better[grr]
He then moved on to the healh benefits of smoking

mustrunmore · 21/03/2008 09:00

Well, he has an interesting out look Jas!

Just realised that csws will get first view of the kitchen if she does come today. Thats such an honour

Er,park too cold for me aswell Unless its via the cafe to get a huge cup of tea to clutch!
Actually, have just remebered that I needed to get herbal teabags, so looks like we might have to venture out after all And ds1 wanted to have lunch in wimpys asa s treat, but I think that'll be behaviour based.

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/03/2008 09:34

I'm stuck doing nothing now. the dds are playing really nicely and I don't want to stop hem so I can shop, which they hate. I may just go later when mum and dad are here.

FIl will have them but he is actually really exhausted (2 day journey to get here at 72 is not fun) so I'm avoiding asking.

I saw your 4 yr old thread mrm I hpe you get a bit of reassurance.

Frizbe · 21/03/2008 12:34

Hello, been away 2 days and loads to read

MRM if it helps dd1 is being a 4 year old pita, she said 'shitty' to me the other day in some context or other, so we had the whole, thou shalt not say naughty words conversation, that plus, screaming tantrums every time she isn't getting her own way is really nice if it helps, Meridians ds is also doing the same thing, and is same age Seems its a boundary pushing thing, again!
Lots of naughty step/area doing again here, I've given up with the, if you do that again you'll be in naughty area, I just take her straight to it, whilst she's yelling the place down. She's slowly getting the message.

Phoenix for making the toddler group, why the change to Yorkshire though?

Hello everyone else I can't remember what I've read, doh!

Cold here too today, brrrr, going to chuck everyone out on the bikes in a bit, as need out of house time, have stuck and painted this am. Oddly nice having a whole day off with the kids though I'm working tomorrow am, then dh and I are both off together Sun and Mon hurrah!

mustrunmore · 21/03/2008 12:56

Maybe I'm being oversensisitive because dl stuck his oar in again But i also think its a nip it in th bud thing, as i'm worried it'll escalate.

At least they let my wash my hair this morning, with no fights whilst I was incapapcitated!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/03/2008 13:08

You've prob realised by now that we went on egg hunt (followed by park then Waitrose), so won't be coming to you mrm. Was cold and windy, but we wrapped up warm.

Tooth stuff sounds fun .

mustrunmore · 21/03/2008 13:51

I guessed, yes! Actually, you did me a favour, as i felt the needto clean kitchen/bathroom and hoover, just incase you turned up! And washed my hair.

Just played superman meets sleeping beauty, came down for a wee and am being summoned to play dinosaur kings

YorkshirePhoenix · 21/03/2008 16:40

Just fancied a change Friz but didn't want to stray away from Phoenix cos I like it, and Yorkshire is where i'm from

for dh's tooth stuff mrm sounds nasty.

We've had a walk round town, bought my dad's birthday cards, bought Lew a soft Simba toy (reduced to £2.99 and he was crying for it), had a Burger King and an ice cream, visited inlaws and my parents and are back home now

EachPeachPearMum · 21/03/2008 22:09

mrm- dentistry sounds horrific!

Jas- FIL sounds interesting !

We went to look at fridge freezers today as ours keeps going mental.

DH trying to persuade me we really need this one!

I'm trying to assure him that if when we move it may not fit into new kitchen, so we'd have wasted money.... not doing a very good job at the moment.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 21/03/2008 22:17

Nah, you want one of these.
We're having a doorway extended so that we can still get it out now that we've lost the external door to the utility.

EachPeachPearMum · 21/03/2008 22:40

We did actually look at the maytag ones in JL today, but it was the zigzag one and it seemed a little gimmicky!

I just don't think we need a fridge that big, though we do need a large freezer, and have no room for a chest freezer.

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 21/03/2008 22:40

Friz- have you been to gay paree already?

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 22/03/2008 15:55

I wish we had a white freezer now we're doing the kitchen diffreent!!

Just treated ds1 to the pics to see Water Horse. I loved it!! And ds1 was laughing his head off in places Even splashed out for popcorn for him, seeing as we dont often get time for just the two of us. £2.20 for popcorn, sewwts, and capri sun on a tray. not toooo extortionate compared to therest of the prices (eg double tango ice blast £4.35)

Then had to spend 80p on the way home getting a new bag from the charity shop as my zip went beyond all repair!
