Hi suzi. Wow it's been sooooooooooo long!

How are you?

suzi2 · 03/03/2008 20:23

not bad at all. I've spotted everyone on other threads but they never come post natal!

DS is lovely. A little wild at times, beats up his little sister, but all in all lovely. Speech is finally coming on, potty training hasn't happened yet as I can't get my arse in gear, and he's a bit shy and nervous so nursery in summer is terrifying me. But all in all we're doing well.

Any yours?

hello im still about havent checked for a couple of weeks though as thought everyone had stopped taking!

I have just found out that im having another scan I had a 3d scan done on sat have a look at my profile pics if you want to seem my new dd.

Have managed to get DD potty trained after buying her a few books from amazon. She is loads if fun with a wicked sense of humor but my god you dont mess with her she is so stubborn.

Suzi have you registered your DS for Nursery?I register dd on Monday but they arent sure if she will miss the cut off this year or not yet so im quite hacked off with them so the sake of a week!!!

ANyway hope we get busy again on here soon I will check more often now I know people are still around

suzi2 · 03/03/2008 21:53

Yeah Josey - the applications had to be in by the end of Jan here. Not sure when I'll hear though. They don't really tell you what's going on and are highly disorganised. They've changed the procedure for registering 3 times in 3 years! Are you still in OM? Funny to think that I went to nursery there! It was a very highly thought of nursery and primary school then, and I think it's the same now.

Hi josey and suzi.

Ds is quite a character now, he has been potty trained during the day for about 4 months now, we do get the ocasional dry nappy from his sleep times, but not enough for me to chance it at night time yet!!

His speech seems a bit slow, but I have noticed it picking up in the last couple of weeks so trying not to worry. He has an incredable temper and doesn't really like other children very much! Tends to hit out if they come too near him . And so stubborn too.

I've applied to one nursery but wonder if I should have applied to more in the area in case he doesn't get in. Didn't realise they had a cut off point. Don't they all seem too young to be going to nursery school

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been on for ages, but I rarely find the time to Mumsnet these days. I was on a LOT more when I was at work! It's a big night tonight because DS2 is spending his first night in his new big bed rather than his cot. Not that he's actually asleep at the moment - last time I checked he was playing on the floor. He started nursery 2 mornings per week in January and has settled in really well. He rushes in without a backwards glance to me and is really enjoying playing with the other children. He goes to the nursery attached to the school where DS1 is in September - which I know from past experience is much more intensive. That's when being an August baby really becomes a disadvantage because they're one of the youngest in the class. DS2's language is still poor compared to others his age - hopefully he'll catch up soon.

Josey - many congratulations on your bump! That 3D scan is quite amazing.

I don't think on since I've namchanged months ago. I always forget, because you are all on when I'm sleeping. (Was ColinandCaitlinsmommy). We've had a very sick last couple of months.

We're not having much luck on the potty front at the moment. She was very interested early on, sitting on Colin's potty on her own, without us telling her to, but now she wants nothing to do with it. Someday we'll be out of diapers here.

She's very talkative right now. She's really lost her hatred of anyone that isn't the 3 of us, and has become quite a character in public. She's also really into drawing, and can draw several letters and shapes fairly well.

Congrats to all who are and have had babies since we all popped ours out!!!!!

yes Suzi still in OM picked up enrollment form this week cut off for August intake is day after dds birthday. The school is still v popular but as OM has grown so much its not so easy to get into. I remember you saying that you worked in Arthurs, I have discovered that my step MILs uncle used to own it before he became an ambulance driver.

DD is becoming funnier by the day she got out of bed this am jumping round the house saying im a kangaroo then held her nose made a funny nose and said im an elephant where she got that from i will never know. She loves drawing as well but mostly wild scribbles though she can draw a perfect circle which is a bit weird. Feeling a bit guilty as struggling with this pregnancy my back is really restricting things and im unable to do as much as I would like with dd and I still have 12 weeks to go oh well soldier on eh!

suzi2 · 13/03/2008 15:22

Now wondering who your step MILs uncle is Josey... I worked there from 92-93 I think? It was owned by the Ross' that owned Spar too IIRC. Previous to that it was owned by my friends parents, the Ingrams. Can't remember much before that as I would have been too wee.

DS is potty training at the moment. started VERY well for first 5 days but has regressed somewhat the last couple.

DD went though a couple of days where she regressed with potty training but she didnt like being wet so she turned round again

suzi2 · 13/03/2008 21:01

The Ingrams live in Westbank Park. I was at school with their DD, Karen. Sounds like it might be them. Say hi from me...

Suzi yep it is them - MIL was in yesterday and said she had just had an invite to Karens 30th in the legion which is in May - Small world!! I have no Idea who these people are though as its my DH step mothers relations and he has only started talking to his dad and her in the last year.

Hope everyone is enjoying easter and your los havent been sick with too many eggs, Mum took both mine yesterday and brought them back today high as kites!

suzi2 · 27/03/2008 20:36

It's a small world Josey. They lived next door to a very good friend of mine, I do wonder what he's up to now. Married with children last time I heard. If you're ever in touch with them, ask about their neighbour Paul. We used to hang out a bit as teenagers and my mum still maintains that he fancied me. And that's always had me wondering lol.

Last years easter eggs lasted until November. Won't make that mistake this year... I'll eat them all
