ds1 was never sick like this, never ill (rarely is now) struggling to cope as no night the same.

I take my hat off to you on your own - you hold it together so well

Luce - Are you tryin to say C is a bad influence ....

C and I went to Luce's last week, he was banging her clothes airer against the wall so she tried to move it....C grabbed a hold of it so she ended up dragging him across the room - most amusing.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/03/2008 20:42

M was never ill either, has only ever been actually sick once in his life (and that was at daddy's house!)

Last night was a bit of a shock to me, I had always dreaded having a child throw up as it's always triggered me to do the same in the past, but thankfully I managed to deal with it (with the help of a scarf over my face !)

yes ds1 hasn't been sick [thank goodness] and when my niece was ever sick with us I always joined in [don't do sick] but now I have no choice, but still don't like it

runnyhabbit · 03/03/2008 20:55

Hiya everyone

I have felt so rough today. W woke twice in the night with his coughing. Then didn't have time for breakfast + plus my period = awful migraine and feeling sick. Thank god dh was home at 4.30. I went to bed as soon as he came through the door, and woke about 7ish. Still not 100% though.

potc I know exactly what you mean about being on a downer. I'm so glad you said you feel like it too. Sometimes I just want to hide in my house and not speak to anyone, which is prob the worse thing to do, esp when everyone is so understnading on here.
mj I would be so fucking pissed off. Fgs, you're a grown adult and did everything right.
caz I have the copper coil, and my periods were all over the place for the first few months after having it fitted. (still a little bit haywire 6 mths later) My cycle usedto be every 4wks, think its about 5/6weeks now.
elkie Hope your first day back went well
pesha Have you signed up to an agency? I'm actually on a temp contract through an agency atm (min 3mths) I told them what hours could suit, and they did all the job hunting for me Esp if you want to ease yourself back into work.

Sorry if I've missed anyone

Going to have a bath and chill for a bit. (would really love a glass of wine, but seeing as I've just taken some codeine, it wouldn't be a good idea, would it)

elkiedee · 03/03/2008 20:58

Hi, we all survived my first day back at work ok. We do flexi so I need to be there by 10 and used to have great difficulty getting in on time so I was quite chuffed to get there at 9.21 on my first morning, and think I'll make it sooner tomorrow. The earlier I can get in within my childminding arrangement (8.15 drop off, c 30 mins to work door to door), the sooner I can go home, and everyone was quite nice to me - one colleague who had twins last April and an older dd born in summer 2005 is very keen to see pics of our D.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble at work again mj, what a meanie manager.

Caz, hope your post brings you good news soon.

runnyhabbit · 03/03/2008 21:00

and an update on J/toilet training. We don't use a potty anymore...straight to the toilet And he's been dry at night for the past 4 nights. Might just use up the last of his nappies for the night, get a waterproof sheet and see what happens.
He doesn't even want to wee in his nappy now - just tells me first thing in the morning that he needs a wee (and his nappy has been bone dry)

Seems it's all or nothing with this boy (and dh says he's like me....can't think what he means)

oooggs · 03/03/2008 21:02

blimey dry at night ds1 isn't anywhere near that at 4.2yrs his nappy is between his knees in the morning

elkiedee · 03/03/2008 21:05

Cross post there because I typed it earlier and forgot to send.

Good to see you back Ellie, I'm dreading the day when I get stuck in with a baby too sick to take out - I keep expecting it as he's had a few moments when he seemed to be coming down with something. And now dp is spending lots of time locked in the bathroom, so we're hoping D doesn't get that, ugh!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/03/2008 21:09

and yet again, SOL had a double entry

Had forgotten just how much this thread could make me

Pesha - was the fire at the house of the chavtastic scumbags people that live over the road and park randomly? If so, can't say as I'm at all surprised she went back in!

OP posts:
runnyhabbit · 03/03/2008 21:10

I know.
The first night it happened, we thought it was chance/luck. He's drinking the same amount, just his first wee in the morning seems to last forever
Think we've got a weeks worth of nightime nappies, then take it from there.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/03/2008 21:10

glad your first day back went well Elkie

and very that you got there so much earlier than you had to, I'm crap at that!

too at ds1 runny, M still has very wet morning nappies

OP posts:
elkiedee · 03/03/2008 21:22

I was always crap at getting in when I had to never mind before then, BD (Before Danny). Maybe it won't last, but I do feel differently about things now.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/03/2008 21:25

I was crap at it before M, then got worse when I had him, much worse when I had J, and now I'm doing well if I get to work by 9.30 (my start time is 9 )
