Baby curly ringlets?

How do you look after 3 month old curly hair??

I feel I should know this 😂 but no one in my family has curly hair always dead straight.. but she was born with loads of hair, it's bright blonde and super curly.. I use the baby brush but it brushes out the ringlets into a state and it all sticks out everywhere and looks worse? Just trying to make her look tidy haha and I seem to make her look worse. As it's that baby hair too I feel extra confused. It's my first baby so a complete noob anyway.

Never, ever, ever, ever brush curly hair. Comb it when wet but then never brush or comb it dry.

At her age she won't need much. Just a shampoo and conditioner, comb through the conditioner and then leave it be.

I agree with @OhhhhhhhhBiscuits above. When she's older, make sure to use conditioner! If she wants it cut short, let her. If she wants it long, please don't overbrush, it hurts and there are no advantages.

I had curly hair from babyhood; my DD had curly hair until she was about 3, then it went straight. Now at 15 it's wavy, so keep in mind that hair texture can change.

Ahh thank you so much! Really glad I asked now. I do have a baby comb that came in the set so I'll use it straight after a bath :)

Use it to comb the conditioner through to get any knots or tangles out and then you won't need to comb it again. Just run your fingers through it and scrunch it when wet.

I agree, don't brush it because it'll just end up a frizzy mess! Well my daughter's hair does anyway! She's late teens now and still has beautiful curly hair but goodness me, it was bloody hard work when she was younger.
Your baby is still very young but I used lots of conditioner on my girl's hair and combed it all through in the bath. And leave-in-conditioner but obviously your baby is probably too little and young for that right now!

Aw this made me smile, OP. Sounds super cute ❤️

@Bringmethesleep haha thank you, she doesn't look like mine 😂 completely opposite, bright blue eyes.. mine are very brown, blonde curls and I have dark hair dead straight, she's very pale skin and I have tanned red 😂😂 couldn't get any more different bless her!

Thank you :) going to try this going forward! It does tend to puff out through out the day when it's hot! Her first bath it went into a blonde Afro, a month in it thinned on the sides and would go into a mowhawk 😂
