Hair loss

So as we all probably know our hair falls out after birth. Mine is doing so - BADLY! I already have weak thin hair so this is making me look bald. Especially on the hair line. I'm taking iron and biotin and eating a healthy diet. Does anyone know anything that's actually worked to see their hair improve. I'm willing to spend big if I need to but I don't want to waste my money on loads of different things so wondering if anything has worked for anyone? X

Same here :( I was thinking of trying that caffeine shampoo - think that's supposed to help?

I lost my hair so badly that I'm 14 months PP and my hair has grown in so I've got clumps of really short hair and it's only now starting to look normal. Multiple people told me it looked as if I had shaved my head. Hairdresser said I lost a lot of hair compared to others she had seen. I started using hair oil, a scalp massager, daily vitamins, found a better shampoo and conditioner and went back blonde. Going lighter with highlights made my thin hair look less thin immediately and the other stuff just made a difference over time. I also had my hair cut to just below my shoulders and even though I really didn't want to, it looked so much better. Some other things to try is satin pillow cases, satin scrunchies and not hair ties, heat protector when using heat.

It’s so hard isn’t it. I lost a lot of hair at 4 months post partum with my first around 14 months ago and unfortunately nothing helped other than a good hair cut.

I have now just had my second baby and I’m dreading the hair loss again.

Good luck and just remember, it will grow back!

I cut all of mine off - from mid back length up to a crop. Grew it all out again later but it seemed to just put less stress on it (and meant I wasn’t wading through depressing amounts of hair on the floor every time I brushed it)
