c section, uterus not contract

Hi Mums,

Just wondering if anyone else had c section and there uterus wouldn't contract after baby was out? I had to have 2 lots of meds to help get it to contract and lost 1.5L of blood.

Anyone else had something similar or if it's just common ? I would like more kids but worried this will happen again or be worse?

I can only have c section so please don't say go natural.

I see you posted a while ago, but my advice is ask your health visitor to arrange a debrief with the team that did the c-section for you. They will be able to advise what happens. I know from a friend's experience that this happened and they went on to have another planned c-section and they had no issues with their uterus not contracting 2nd time around. Everyone's different though ask for a debrief so you can understand what happened and why for you x
