Watery poo on nutrimigen

Hi,

my 9 week old son who is formula fed has for over 2 weeks been having a mixture of watery wet stools along with watery mushy stools and seems to be straining early in the morning and makes weird dinosaur noises as we call it during the night like he’s struggling to go.

he’s on nutrimigen as dr said it looks like he has a cows milk allergy was going a few days without a stool and was difficult to settle from birth.

he’s been on nutrimigen ever since but he’s never been tested really for a cows milk allergy just switched from SMA to nutrigmen.

his weight had been progressing great but last Thursday it dropped down to the next percentile , they said nothing to worry about as he’s been having watery pooos and is feeding and sleeping well relatively speaking but the grunting and formula issue is a bit worrying with the weight drop.

dr referred to a dietitian which we are waiting on an appointment but wondering if anyone had any advice?

we are due for a weigh in probably this next week to see if he’s gained weight in a week for peace of mind.

he was born 9 pounds 1 so was on the bigger side anyway but the watery poops and non cows milk is a bit concerning.
