Heehee thought I'd start the new thread. there seemed to be a recurring theme from everyone's recent posts - hence the title.

Hope everyone's well and that you found us without too much trouble

Happy Birthday Rumpel
Sophie was back to back and it is a painful labour but you know that from Amber. Lets hope you get that baby turning before the big day..... sending great labour vibes your way.

We put Sam in the playroom last night only thing is she fell asleep at 7pm on the sofa because I hadn't let her sleep all day so we are unsure whether we have cracked it! She did sleep till 7am this morning though.
Babyducky- the whole dummy thing is a problem for me too, I do put lots in her cot though so she can usually locate one.

Sophie slept in her own room last night too- very odd without her in our bedroom.

babyducky · 24/06/2008 16:37

Have tried rumpel, he throws them all out grrrr!

We are gonna have to get him a bed soon as poss anyway as he tries to climb out of the cot now.

Sending u labour vibes!
Now go get back on your gym ball!

gingeme · 28/06/2008 22:22

Evening ladies
Rumple havn't you had that baby yet? George was back to back but we didn't realise till he was born facing me so to speak. Was bloody painful but no more than usual.
Sam hope Sam settles soon. It might be a touch of jelousy especialy if you involve Sophie in the night time routine too.
We have bunk beds since Tuesday and the boys are loving them. David cheers every time he goes up the ladder by hiself and Edward looks so small in a 'proper' bed.
George still in with us. He only wakes once a night now though so as soon as he mises that feed hell be in with his big brothers
We have been decorating our hallway this week. Got the smelly smell of gloss hanging around. Hat it. Stinks.
Well I hope everyone is well.
Take are all
xx

babyducky · 29/06/2008 20:46

hey all,

Anything happening rumpel?

I done another race for life today,

Done it a few weeks ago aswell, last time i completed it in 32 mins & today I managed to do it in 25! So Im very pleased with myself, have raised over £400 for cancer research!

My legs really ache now though!

Aw the bunk beds sound really cute gingeme, we are looking for a bed for kai.

What do u think is best, a normal size single bed or one of those little toddler beds?

His sleeping has improved a bit, we have cut out his daytime nap so he's worn out by bedtime!

gingeme · 29/06/2008 21:51

Well done you babyducky fantastic amount. We did a sponsored toddle round our local park today for Barnados. Was great fun but I'm a bit burnt and sore now.
Not sure what to recomend for beds because weve always had a cot bed which was the boys 'big' bed so to speak when we took the sides off. We did get a childs bed for ds3 from Ikea. Its the Mamut one which has matching wardobe and drawers and tables etc. Very sturdy and very nice.
Couldn't cut out Edwards naps he would be a nightmare all day. His new saying t the moment is 'want one?' he also says ' I'm a winner' this comes from his big brother who is an avid Roarey The Racing Car fan

Hi all

Still no improvement on the going to bed front. We do keep Samantha up all day now 5pm onwards is a nightmare!

Sam does have a cotbed too but I think we may just buy her a normal size single bed rather than get her used to one then another- hmmm not sure. Its all decisions when you are a parent!

Rumpel- Where are you?

Off on holiday this morning, only haven at Great Yarmouth but Sam will love it, dancing and all that attention!

Samantha new words are 'minute' and 'more!'

Babyducky- Well done on Race For Life.

Gingeme- Must sort out getting to see you.

RUMPEL · 02/07/2008 12:30

Hi All,

BABYDUCKY - we got Amber a toddly bed form Ikea and it's great - she goes to bed really easily. Often find her (I check on her before I go to bed) on the floor, cooried into my V pillow with her Little Miss books around her fast asleep. I had to buy a new bf pillow as she has snaffled the v one!

GINGEME - are your Scottish boys coming down for the hols at all? Started here on Monday.

SAMSMAM - have a fab holiday - hope the sleep thing improves soon.

Amber's new words are door, shower, no, thank you, din dins

Despite me pressing all my points daily still nothing to report - am totally fed up with the whole thing now! Arggg! Just want baby out.

Am a bit terrified about labour now as bubba is back to back - I had such a horrible time with Amber and I am scared it is going to be as painful and slow as last time - nothing I can do I will just have to cream - EPIDURAL!!! and hope for the best

Please send me popping vibes ladies!

PRINCESS - where are you?

gingeme · 02/07/2008 20:27

Hi Rumple. Oh I remember those last weeks when every twinge is a mattter of 'is this it?' big popping vibes to you.
Yes my boys are coming here on Monday for three weeks . Realy looking forward to their help.
Sam any luck with Samanthas sleeping?
Alls well here at the moment. Had to get George some drops for thrush in his mouth today. Apart from that hes doing just fine.
Edward is fast becoming a terrible two already !! Very stubborn little fella. No means no as far as hes concerned and theres no changing his mind. Hes got into the nasty habit of sticking his hand down the back of his nappy when hes had a pooh and showing us.
Fortunately its only ever been at home so we quickly march him to the bathroom to wash his hands . He is getting alot better with speaking now. Alot more recognisable words now. Ofcourse I can't think of any right now. Bloody typical.
Well I'm off for a soak now everyones in bed.
Glad your all well.

RUMPEL · 03/07/2008 13:50

Hey GINGEME - it will only be a matter of time before he is sticking his hands down the front of his trousers for a rummage and cup - LOL

gingeme · 03/07/2008 22:31

Oh he does that too

babyducky · 11/07/2008 10:43

hi everyone,

Its gone very quiet on here again!

Rumpel- Any news???

Kai is still being naughty at bedtime, not sure what to do anymore! He just never seems tired!

He's also started getting fussy with his food, he refuses to try anything new, If he doesnt recognise it he just covers his mouth & wont even try a tiny bit, even things I know he would like!

He has completely gone off meat now aswell, he's never liked it much but barely eats eat at all now, unless he dips it in hp brown sauce?!? Dp's fault!

He has even started to go off pasta which has always been his fave!

All he really wants to eat is cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, roast potatoes, any kind of fruit, cheese or yogurt!

He has also started to cry if he sees anyone he doesnt recognise & he's become really clingy, doesnt really like playing with other kids anymore, only his cousins.

Please tell me this is just a phase?!

Because he'll be two quite soon??!

I feel exhausted!

How is everyone else anyway?

RUMPEL · 12/07/2008 18:49

Hi All,

No News yet. had contractions all last Monday - called Dh to come home and Mum to come down (4.5 hour drive for her) but all stopped during the night. Am just so pissed off and miserable - definitley wasn't this huge and sore with Amber - I feel like I am going to rupture my tum is so tight and bubbas head is right down between my legs. So miserable...

BABYDUCKY - Amber usually spits out something unfamiliar and then will try it again to see if she does like it. She is usually quite well behaved and goes to her bed easily (we'll see if this changes with new arrival though ).
Maybe he is just pushing his boundaries with you just now? Luckliy she isn't clingy either - in fact I have been bombed out for my Mum just now

Hope you are all well.

gingeme · 12/07/2008 20:22

Hi all. Been a complete madhouse here with my big boys here.
Edwards loving having them here. Being real cheeky No worries about food here. He's eatimg all his food as well as Georges and ours.
Oh Rumple what can I say? Keep your chin up love your time (and baby) will come. Try to rest as much as possible. I know I know your saying 'but thats not possible with a near two year old in the house'.
George is on the move now too. Hes combat crawling like a pro. If anythings in his sight he'll get to it somehow
Don't know what to say babyducky just give him stuff he likes for now. His taste will change as he gets older and finds new things more interesting. Just don't push the issue ot he'll be fussy about everything. As for bed time I guess the same could stand realy. Don't push the issue. Make sure you do the same bed time routine every night and shell soon get the message Mummy isn't going to change her mond and hopefuly shell soon settle again.
Well hope everyone else is ok.
Samsam how are the girls?
Take care all xxxxx

gingeme · 15/07/2008 13:40

Hello hello?

babyducky · 15/07/2008 15:51

hello gingeme

Thanks both for the advice. Just have to see how things go i guess.
He's being quite good today, & went to bed well last night.

Bet it was nice having all your boys together again gingeme, are they still there?

How old is george now?

Hope somethings happening now rumpel!

x

gingeme · 15/07/2008 17:09

Yes my big boys are still here till the 29th July.
George is 6 months old now and already trying to crawl
Edward had a poorly dsy yesterday. He was sick in the early am and a few times through the day. Slept loads too. Seems much better today so I think it was just a 24 hour thing.
We are all going to Chessington on Saturday with my sil and her family. Can't wait. ds3 is tall enough to go on most of the rides so its going to be a fun day. Just hope the weather holds.
Yeah where is Rumpel sending

babyducky · 18/07/2008 13:58

cant believe george is 6 months already!

Hope edward is feeling better now, & hope u have a great day at chessington!

Something must be happening for rumpel now??!

RUMPEL!!!!!!!!!??????

We've had 4 good nights with kai now, He's been going to sleep fine, & not waking up till about 6.30 so hopefully things are getting back to normal, fingers crossed!

RUMPEL · 20/07/2008 20:31

Hi All,

Your vibes were perfect timing -

Calvin Thomas born Tuesday 15th at 10.05pm weighing 7lb6ozs. He was not back to back but came out with his hand at his face so ripped me on the way out . Managed without an epidural - G+A and diamorphine but then my placenta got retained - AGAIN - I make such good ones they do not come out and get stuck! Anyway they were going to take me to theatre but decided to try a different technique - ended up with massive bleed and all got a bit scary for a while but eventually the consultant managed to remove the placenta. Got out on Thursday but been busy and very tired as majorlly aneamic.

Calvin is gorgeous - long and huge hands and feet with bright red hair [preen] Amber has been great with him and my Mum has been a star - shes off on Tuesday and I am so going to miss her.

I will post some photos when I get a chance.

Hope you girls are all well and babies doing fine.

xxxxx

babyducky · 20/07/2008 21:23

woohoo!!!!!

Congratulations rumpel!

Really love the name, its lovely, cant wait to see pics!

sounds scary, hope your ok now, xxxx

taffy101 · 22/07/2008 21:18

Hurrah Rumpel.Sounds like you are a bit battered and bruised but elated all the same. Congratulations!!! He sounds gorgeous. I too hope to see pics soon

Have been too busy lately. Took DD to london to see lion king for her birthday. she was awestruck. She went in her simba outfit and even got her photo taken with some of the cast - i've put a pic on the profile.

Owen is a calamity! He has chipped a front tooth the other week and I ended up in a+e with him last friday evening cos he stuck peas up his nose!

OP posts:
princessllama · 23/07/2008 19:17

congratulations rumpel. well done. you must be feeling overwhelmed in all directions. lucky you to have a redhead. great news.
taffy-chipped tooth already, blimey. i chipped my brothers with a tennis racket when we were kids, unfortunately it wasn't a baby tooth.
samsmam and babyducky i hate the stand off at night. bedtime battles are horrid when you're that knackered.
gingeme we're getting the poo thing too. i feel immersed in poo at the moment with hope and ferdie.
well, one of the reasons i haven't been around is that ferdie was rushed to hospital with meningitis 4 weeks ago. it was hell. finally we got out after a week. he's ok now but it got very bad. obviously hope made my life pretty difficult the week after we came out too. punishment for being away for a week i suppose.
don't really dare say it, but things seems to be improving and we're going on a holiday on sunday.

RUMPEL · 23/07/2008 20:50

OMG PRINCESS - really really scary stuff!! I am so glad he is better now.

TAFFY - we went to see the LK for our honeymoon.

BABYDUCKY - DH is no too keen - he is calling him Cal.

Nightmare here - Calvin wants to feed all night and Amber has got chickenpox!!! Incubation is 11 - 20 days - so I am just hoping that he might have some immunity as I am bf as well as ff. Anyone got experience of chickenpox in a baby so young? I know I need to keep his temp down - strip him off and cool bath etc but anything else?

Anway must go check in with ther July Mummies.

xxxx

babyducky · 23/07/2008 22:38

how scary pl, hope he's ok now.

How old is he now?

Enjoy your holiday!

Hi rumpel, how are you?

Cal is really cute aswell, any pics yet?

Blimey, chickenpox!! I thought it was bad when kai had it at 7 months, looking back though i'd def rather he had it then than now, think it'd be a lot harder at this age!

Yeah I would have thought just keep him cool etc,

Hows amber with it?

xxx

princessllama · 24/07/2008 12:57

babyducky he's four months. wouldn't want to go through chicken pox at 7 months either!
rumpel, same thing happened to a friend of mine and the baby didn't catch it so fingers crossed. poor poor you. ferdie fed all night for the first week and then calmed down. they do it if they are late or v large babies. hope amber gets over it quick
