Hotlips, lovely to see you and glad all is working out well.

Pinions, what a post! Hope you are not feelng too sore.

Hi Leaky, sorry to hear about the IBS. Dh gets that and I know it isn't pleasant.

Maveta, I cannot fathom out Facebook at all. Are you able to put a pic of your new do on your profile here??
Also shocked by the ratios at nursery. We are also 1:3. Hope you get somewhere lovely sorted for N.

GMM, good luck with the run - good on ya.

MJ, great to see you and hear you sounding much happier. x

Brain now shut down.

Hope you are all well and your babies are all behaving.

All ok here, just knackered and chilly - got soaked picking up B from school - the madam ran off with my umbrella......

Right, off to bed, so see you all in the morning.

Pesha · 17/01/2008 21:44

just wrote long post and IE closed down

Basically was moaning that D hasnt fed on my left boob since about 11am so gonna have to dig out pump. But handy to have the ebm as we're going to dp's work thing on sat and so dc going to his mum's! Was just going to send him with formula as cant be doing with faff of expressing but going to have to now!

hotlipsmummy · 17/01/2008 21:48

Hi Elkidee. Nice to meet you too. Whereabouts in north London are you? We are in Battersea now (aka Nappy Valley!) but used to live in Islington pre-babies. Don't miss it though!!!

I've not yet heard of anyone who had their baby last spring/summer being pg again. Last time round 1 of my nct friends was 2 months gone by now. She was the frst though and next was me and another girl and our babies were born on the same day! Amazing! Then there were loads born over the summer. Standard 2 year gap!

Was interested to see the diet chat - will watch and try to motivate myself [yawn], hate it but am 3 stone heavier than when I get married so something needs to be done - don't want to be going back to work a bloater!

Pesha · 17/01/2008 21:52

Night SOL

Dp's work thing is a wassailing party thingumy. Because they're a cider company its some sort of traditional ritual thing to worship apple trees for a good crop or something

Nowadays though its a piss up night out with free cider and food all night

runnyhabbit · 17/01/2008 21:52

Evening all

lovely to "see" everyone

have to agree with NL(I think it was you) on the food=sleep thing. For about a week, W had been waking about 1am(ish), and taking a good bf, so I have now changed his day to include an extra meal

6.30am bf
8.30am breakfast (cereal, followed by yogurt or fruit)
10.30am sometimes some fruit, or similar (not all the time tho, depends on W)
12pm lunch (with a pudding)
3pm bf (not all the time tho, depends on W)
3.30/4pm porridge/rice cakes/fruit
5.30pm tea (with a pudding)
7.30pm 9oz ff

Since doing this at the beginning of the week, he's slept through

On the other hand, it could just be that he is absolutlry knackered from all the crawling/cruiser/mischeif he gets up to during the day

Dh is home tomorrow night

Night all
xx

hotlipsmummy · 17/01/2008 21:52

x-posted! Hello SOL. I am trying to remember who it was who has an older DS and about 22 months gap with the April baby... I think we chatted a little about adjustment concerns in the ante-natal thread...

runnyhabbit · 17/01/2008 22:01

there is just over 23mths between ds1 (J) and ds2 (W)

runnyhabbit · 17/01/2008 22:02

nighty night
x

geordiemacminx · 17/01/2008 22:09

Thanks for all the well-wishing or my run attempt.... seems like a long way away just now eeek.

HLM - Nice to see you back.

Maveta - cant see the video although you hair is lovely!!

Off to bed just now.

Nighty night

hotlipsmummy · 17/01/2008 22:10

Think so... funnily enough your day for W looks remarkably like A's, except I'm not b'feeding anymore. Stopped at 7 plus months. And our snacks at 10.30 and 3.30/4 tend to be either rice cakes or rusks. Fruit too messy as he eats on the move at snack time and is only in the highchair for meals. Not great I know but he woofs it now so fast it hardly seems worth it.

So how has DS1 taken to his little brother? As I say, apart from some extra sensitivity for about a month at the beginning my DS1 (H) has been very good. Its only now that A is interfering with his puzzles/games etc that he gets fed up with him. Funny how the sibling thing is not just about a new baby. A good friend once asked me if my siblings p*ss me off - yes, obviously - well then such it will be for my 2 boys, they will love and love to bait each other for the rest of their days! I was so naive!!

Pesha · 17/01/2008 22:35

Ok so apparently this party is outside so I need to wear warm clothes, wellies and a big coat Not quite what I'd been imagining!

elkiedee · 17/01/2008 22:40

hlm, I live in Tottenham. dp works in Islington and I used to, also have friends and family in the area but I couldn't afford the rent there so looked a little further north/east, and then 3 years later decided to buy in the area I was living in.

There are 3 pregnancies at least among May 2007 mums, and I know of at least one from the March 2007 thread as well. One of my NCT postnatal group friends had a baby in January 2007 and is expecting another next June, but I understand she started trying again pretty quickly as she's in her 40s.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/01/2008 23:43

I think what elkie is trying to say is that we are slacking somewhat ladies

I'm feeling a bit low but not sure why, lack of sex I think

Have watched tv and found several fuckable attractive men to ogle this evening

OP posts:
elkiedee · 18/01/2008 00:36

PMSL, I'm just amazed by the number of people I know who are having more babies so soon.

Sorry POTC. Are you and that guy going to have another go at meeting up?

elkiedee · 18/01/2008 09:33

Morning! How come no one else has posted here yet? Where are you all?

Pesha · 18/01/2008 09:46

PMSL Ellie! Have to come down again soon Ellie for a night out. I got chatted up by a very cute gut lasst time I went out! The talent night was much better then than when we went out before

N has routine eye check at 10.50. Hospital about 15 mins max walk from school but they have assembly today so he needs picking up at 10.10. No point coming home first and dont want to drive cos parking is ridiculously expensive at hospital. PITA really but nevermind, we'll have to walk slowly!

Morning Elkie

Maveta · 18/01/2008 09:53

morning! by popular demand () photo of new hair is now on my profile. and remember people, flattery will get you everywhere with me

N had a temp last night although back to normal this morning, not sure if there's more teeth on the way then? Anyone know which ones I should be looking out for next? (he now has 2 bottom and 2 top). We were supposed to go out on sat and leave N with my mum but we don't really feel we can while he's up all night. Once or twice is one thing, the whole night is quite a lot to ask anyone, grandparent or otherwise! but was really looking forward to it so a bit is San Sebastian and there's lots of music in the plazas in town and open air fires where everyone cooks sausages etc. Bah.

I've tried to reload that vid onto my facebook, can anyone check and let me know if they can see it? Bloody funwall. hate it.

elkiedee · 18/01/2008 10:03

The new hairdo makes you look very elegant and sophisticated. Maybe I should brave it. The problem is that whatever hairdressers do seems to affect my hair forever - I can still see layers from the last haircut I had and it was a very long time ago, which is fine, but bad haircuts last ages too.

CaptainDippy · 18/01/2008 10:14

Morning! Absolutely foul weather here, got soaked taking older 2 to Pre-School. P all tuckled up in her cot now though so have done the breakfast things, sorted out recycling, quick tidy and now catching up here ..... of course MN is constructive!!!

Hello hotlipsmummy!! Nice to "see" you back here again, glad everything is going ok - Austen is a really sweet name!!

@ the situation with DH's mum, mav - I would be too - seems very unfair to me. xx ..... and at the nursery ratios over there - Are they nuts!!!? Baby room at our nursery has a 1:2 ratio!! Come back to England, Maveta!!

Hope you are doing ok after your little op, Pinions - I know it is only small, but I had some weird spots removed from round my eyes and it was pretty sore and painful for a few days after - keep taking the painkillers!! Intrigued about your bro's book ... do post a link!

Can't remember anything else, but hello!

BTW > Think I might be PG!

Ooooh and I have found a perfect job ..... really, really, really hope I get it ......

Octothechildherder · 18/01/2008 10:15

Morning

Maveta - fabulous hair

I have decided to do supply teaching - have contacted a couple of schools and an agency. Pay is FAB and no worries about school hols/sick children/marking etc!

Ernie slept through again last night which is a relief as went out with a friend and drank too much red wine Not loads - just enough to give me a slightly fuzzy head! And DH has gone to the shops as have run out of milk so can't even have a cup of tea! Mouth like the sole of an iraqis flip flop.

Have been for smear this morning (the nurse was way too chatty considering my mouth/head) and said that the mirena is irritating my cervix - nothing to worry about though

Ernie asleep He is just soo cute atm

Octothechildherder · 18/01/2008 10:16

Ernie awake bugger it

Dippy - will be back later to find out about job!

CaptainDippy · 18/01/2008 10:20

Have updated stats with Austen on it for you, Hotlips!

(Feel v.odd calling you Hotlips btw )

Oooooh, maveta - your hair is lovely - very elegant - You are one gorgeous chick, lady!! Noah was pretty big for someone so piete as you, wasn't he!!? Ow! Am I your Facebook friend, btw - get vconfused!

CaptainDippy · 18/01/2008 10:22

Hey Octo! LOL @ the flip-flop, you are nuts! Will wait til you areb ack to talk about job - hope Ernie settles again for you, great that he slept through though!

hotlipsmummy · 18/01/2008 10:40

Morning. Thanks Dippy. Should have said middle name is John but that doesn't matter in the least!

yes, I'm considering a name change as "Hotlips" is a little ! Was a rather unoriginal nickname given my RL name and when pg I just couldn't think of anything!!

Weather foul here too - got soaked on the school run again and I've only done 5 days of it so far. Bloody English weather

elkiedee · 18/01/2008 10:48

Dippy, how exciting about poss pg and/or job. Look forward to learning more.

I've had a horrible thought about something I can't find. Nothing of real financial value but two of our baby blankets are missing - one is a very nice rather expensive organic cotton blanket, but we have two and they are easily replaceable. But I can't find my baby blanket, knitted before I was born. I'm panicking that they were grabbed off the sofa or something to cover up the things taken from our house in the burglary.
