Next to me crib

Does the next to me crib have to be right up against my bed, or could I have a gap so I can get in and out of my bed without having to get out of bed at the bottom.

We have built in wardrobes meaning the next to me starts further down the bed and isn't right up at our headboard hope that makes sense

If you keep the four walls zipped up then you can have it where you want - it is just a cot then.

If you are using it like that then it kind of defeats the purpose though? Might be cheaper just to get a normal crib or space saver cot?

Agree with pp you can put it anywhere you want as long as all 4 sides are up. But if you aren't intending to put it up against your bed and drop one side, there are much more cost effective crib options than getting a next to me!
