Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DH baths DS every night before bed and I just give his face a once over before I go to work. Used to be every other night but since starting nursery and weaning he is filthy more often than not.

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 13:25

Jammy didn't we say one weekend in late Jan?

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 13:28

DD gets hands and face cleaned after meals (and inbetween if we notice a bit I missed!) and a bath every other night. And bum cleaned at each nappy change of course.

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 13:36

need to decide on a weekend though

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 13:44

26/27 is fine for me

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 14:31

My name is Fury and I am a foodaholic

It has been 23 minutes since my last yorkie

it has been 2 hours since my last korma

Hi mhc! hope you are having a fab time!

lol fury!

JBM just gets a bath once or twice a week and just gets a flannel wash from water in a plastic jug when she needs it, usually after feeding. but yeah, she's pretty much a scruff too!

will check with dh about that weekend jammy.

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 15:19

ria, JBM - Info about Tescos price promise.
Bumper you will like this

HERE

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 15:26

mhc I didn't realise you were already there! lordy. Hope you are having fun!

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 15:32

Hi mHC. Hope you continue to have a good time!

Fury/Bumper, I'll check that date with DH as well.

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 15:43

Bumper - more info on the evil Tesco - apparently in Thailand a guy was so angered by Tesco poisoning stray dogs (a stupid move in a buddhist country) he said if they didn't stop he was going to inject HIV-positive blood into the beef steaks!

Good grief

sputnik · 09/01/2008 15:48

No no no Fury, last week your trousers were falling down and you were an inspiration to us all. You can't let us down!

MHC, glad you're having a good time. What are iles flottantes?

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 15:51

My trousers did once fall down at work when I'd lost some weight (sigh). We were on a visit to Heathrow Airport and as I dug in my pocket to get my passport out for security they started to fall down on one side. I think I gave my (male, elderly) boss a flash of my hip! But he was a real gentleman and quickly looked the other way.

sputnik · 09/01/2008 15:58

When I lost weight that was my favourite part. I used to pull my jeans down (at home in private obviously) just for the fun of it [wistful]. That followed by buying new stuff

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 09/01/2008 16:12

@tescos, though not really! I hate the buggers!

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 16:27

I hate Tesco too

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 17:26

another anti-tesco campaigner here

however I have a caveat - I do buy their nappies as they are the only disposables that can handle DS's mega night pisses which are something to behold

HellHathNoFury · 09/01/2008 17:27

BTW I am at home now.
Left early as DS is ill - apparently he has a solid build up of cattyrh (lol @ my spelling) which hasn't yet become infected but would have. GP has prescribed pseudoephedrine type thing.

Hang on a minute.

Am I the only person that thinks it's weird the MHC is at Disney yet still on MN? Now that's loyalty

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 17:43

Poor DS, Fury. Hope he is OK.

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 17:54

God, I know they've got to learn, but I am the only one who sometimes thinks "look, it's just a rice cake about 1" diameter, I can eat it in about 5 seconds, so why does it take you over 10 minutes? And why does it have to involve you dropping it about 2 dozen times, and crying each time because you've dropped it and then getting cross with me it I try to hold it for you?" She does like them, it just takes SO long for her to eat one

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 09/01/2008 18:12

I farking hate weaning jammy!

Grrr! bloody men! dh left the car lights on so car battery is flat. fortunately i don't have to pick him up, he is getting jump started. but I had started dinner (potato & courgette rostis with poached egg since you ask) with a view to him being back in time to take dd while I finish. i find it impossible to cook with her as i can't guarantee she'll be settled enough. plus he'll not be back in time so I've had to leave it midway coz dd just sat and cried. plus this is the time when dd & i usually started to get fecked off with each other & daddy gets home just in time (and she's all smiles . but he's not going to be back for another hour, at which time it'll be dd's feed and bedtime & i still won't have had dinner. arrrrrrrsssssseeeeee!

milkyJammy · 09/01/2008 18:33

Bumper, we don't eat until after DD is in bed, as I find it too hard to cook with her at the moment. Means we often don't eat until 8 or 8.30 though. DH often isn't in until 6 or 6.30 so she needs to eat before that anyway, then we can have some time together with her before bath/bed, rather than us eating with her having to sit in her high chair and watch.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 09/01/2008 18:40

I don't think i could wait that long! plus with the amount of time between dd going to bed and me going to bed (about 2.5 hours) i would have no time to myself (plus a tummy ache!)

thisisRialifebaby · 09/01/2008 18:44

Hi, sorry I disappeared earlier.

LOL @ your DH clause fury - me too

DH got back in (from helping design and choose £50k worth of stainless steel porn palace), took one look at DS2s nose and rang NHS Direct. Cue trip to town to A&E. He doesn't appear to be concussed or have any other side-effects, but it may or may not be broken, they can't tell with the swelling. So we have been referred to the ENT clinic. He is quite pale so looks pretty rough, but he has perked up since being allowed to spend some birthday money on more playmobile (as a hospital-going incentive!)

I am too scared to read that about Tesco (I am a bit of a frequent customer, sorry). Which is considered to be the best supermarket then? We have Morrisons, Co-Op (small village one, too expensive, no choice, crap staff), Sainsburys and Aldi within shopping distance. I hate shopping and I like being able to get house stuff and clothes there too, also being able to buy my saving stamps (it paid for our christmas this year). Advice accepted.
