No it's been ongoing for a while. I have been changing him at 3am but I'd rather not have to!

@Smurf123 - I didn’t bother going to one that would only allow me to see the baby room, on my own with no DH but he could attend another day. Made no sense whatsoever, I even offered to do LFT!

@BertieBotts can you use a reusable nappy outer, I’ve done that a few times with a disposable if I’ve not dried the reusables.

Anyone any tips on how to enjoy weaning? I don’t enjoy mess at all and yesterday it was flicked everywhere, on the walls of all places. I’ve got a big mat, bibado bib but still on my walls 🤣

We’ve rolled both ways today after not rolling from front to back for a while and never from back to front. Might explain the poor sleep last night, up every few hours babbling away to herself.

I've got a really stupid nappy question - on the pampers size 3s that are pull ups - is the animal at the front or the back? And what is the sticky tab for??

Had a better night last night. He still woke at 1210, 430 and 620, but he went back down ok so I think we've been giving him food too late thinking it will help keep him satisfied for longer, which for one thing it hasn't been anyway, but I think/hope that's what the problem is 🤷‍♀️

Don't know about animal but the sticky tab goes at the back, it's for rolling it up and sealing it if you've ripped the sides to take off a messy poo.

Oh maybe for a reusable outer, but I don't have any and anyway he's totally soaking them so I think it would be uncomfortable?

Gave Alex the gentlest ever covid test and it came up positive in seconds, poor thing.

I'm still changing every night too. Around 3 or 4 am. It doesn't disturb too much but we've had too many leaks to not change.

Ladies, can anyone more switched on than me explain whether we are entitled to a tax rebate for 2021/2022? AFAIU, we shouldn't pay any tax if whatever we were paid in that period is within the Personal Allowance. I'm above that, but still a large part of the financial year is SMP only. So am I entitled to anything? Is anyone in the same boat and if so, how did you work this out/checked/claimed, please? xx

We've got a tooth breaking through! I can feel it sharp under my finger. I'm surprised she's not more grumpy. She's been getting cucumber sticks from the fridge that she loves on her gums.

Yep we change at night - sometimes twice. He’s usually sodden by the 10/11pm feed. Absolutely champion wee-er.

I can recommend Cheeky Wipes for reusable outers. Excellent containment whether using a reusable or a pampers underneath. They aren’t cheap but I have been impressed.

My period started today - explains why I have felt so achey and hot for the last few days. I feel like I have the worst hangover ever - headache, bad stomach, very dehydrated - and it’s very heavy, I’m getting through sanitary towels at the pace DS gets through nappies. Just wanted to share - sympathy please!

Always happy to discuss reusable nappies by the way! We’ve got the hang of them, finally, and use reusable during the day, pampers at night.

@BertieBotts we use tots bots, DD is dry in the mornings but a nappy is always full to bursting. Doesn’t seem to bother her.

@RandomCatGenerator my first was similar, I had to get out the last of maternity pads. I’ve had three now I think and all seem to have one really heavy day and then lighter than normal.

@PurplePansy05 - absolutely no idea how it works but would love to know I go on to SMP next month and can’t work out if I’ll end up paying tax on it / student loan for the months I’m only receiving or will they go off what I’ve been paid all year 🤷‍♀️

@Fran919 After I posted, I got paid and somehow I have few hundred quid more than my usual SMP! I wonder if it's the tax adjustment. My SMP only period started in late October. Gosh, if I get such extras every month until the end of my leave I'll be delighted! 😁But I bet this is a one-off. Oh well, I'll still have cakes tomorrow xx

@RandomCatGenerator Load of sympathy your way. I don't know if you remember when I posted about my pp period but it was evil too. Nothing prepared me for this! Take it easy, I was floored for 2 days. xx

I used reusables with DS1 and DS2, sorry, I never got on with them at all! I will not be changing. It doesn't disturb him to be changed at night, but it disturbs me :o

If he sleeps better then it isn't a problem so DH thinks it's when he drinks loads of milk he wees a lot. Fingers crossed when he gets over this illness he'll be a bit more settled again in that case.

I already feel much better thankfully. It came on really quickly but it seems to be passing quickly too.

I've always had loads of cervical mucus but thinking about it, I think I have had more since having children so maybe it's a common change? I don't know whether it means you're more or less fertile. I don't think people actually are "super" fertile after having a baby or just the normal amount of fertile but don't expect to get pregnant since they're not having much sex? Because it doesn't actually matter whether you have sex once or 10x during the fertile period, you have around a 20% chance of conception either way.

@PurplePansy05 I got a good bit more SMP than expected today too but I think mine is down to getting paid for the last time the week of Christmas so it’s been longer than usual I think. No idea about the tax sorry 🙈 are they not meant to automatically calculate it? I have no clue how mine will work with my Etsy shop money now too, at least I might not pay quite as much tax when I’m on hardly any money to start with!

@Daffodil21 I haven’t come across these pull up ones yet! I opened his swim nappies at the class yesterday and realised the bigger size of them that I’d bought I’d pull up, couldn’t work out what was front or back either 🙈

Oh we haven’t changed during the night since he’s slept through, bad mum 🙈
