M2CM apart from my boots which have a heel I usually live in trainers, thats what motherhood does to you lol. I have tons of high heels that havent seen the light of days for ages. I love peep toe ones, have got a lovely black wedge pair, makes my legs look long and slim but because of the wedge they are comfy enough to wear all night. Which reminds me I need to dig them out before Valentines (have convinced dh that he needs to take me somewhere posh so that I can dress up lol)

Big match for us tomorrow Havant & Waterlooville (HAWKS) V Liverpool in the 4th round of the FA Cup woohoo. I expect the Hawks will lose but who knows, not bad for a team made up of builders, etc.

twelveyeargap · 25/01/2008 15:42

Awwh, I'm so chuffed for Havant, Pebble. I was nearly in tears this morning when they showed Tony Taggart the bin man, saying how pleased he was to get the chance to play against Liverpool.

DH's dad is a huge Hereford fan. They're playing Cardiff on Sunday and there's just a chance they could win it and play a massive club next round.

It's so huge for small clubs to play the big guns and get the tv rights money. It can mean so much to them. New players etc. Fingers crossed for your guys.

twelveyeargap · 25/01/2008 15:43

Has anyone else's baby started screeching? Nnnggghhh. I can't bear it. She screeches for fun. I'm not able...

largeginandtonic · 25/01/2008 16:08

No screeching here (phew)

Thinking of you Latinomom xxxxx

MumtoCharlotteMay · 25/01/2008 17:13

Have just recieved an email from somebody I don't know saying:

'a baby at 21 ffs lippy any way u got a nice per of tits 4 feeding the baby lol'

Wtf? I don't know this person and haven't ever spoken to them!

MumtoCharlotteMay · 25/01/2008 17:15
  • I'm not 21.......
  • I'm not breastfeeding........
  • I do have very nice boobs lol
twelveyeargap · 25/01/2008 17:22

Is your email address on facebook or similar?

AbbyLou · 25/01/2008 19:51

How weird MtoCM! I'd check Facebook first too!
Well I can't believe the difference 2 doses of antibiotics made to R - at last I'm starting to see glimpses of my little girl again. She has been so sad this week and she actually smiled tonight. She has also eaten some solids and had a little more milk than yesterday. She had a lovely long bath tonight and was in bed for 5.30. She had her last dose of medicine and went straight to sleep. Hopefully after a good long sleep she will be even perkier tomorrow.

MumtoCharlotteMay · 25/01/2008 19:52

Yes, and I did have pictures on my aol account profile but I've taken them off now because of this. Email was from another aol member so they've perhaps been looking at my profile pics.

Well my shoes arrived and they're lovely. Except for the fact that flippin RM threw the package over my fence, it fell behind the bins and I've only just found them. The box is soaking wet but the shoes seem to be ok. No note through the door or anything to tell me what had happened to them. God knows how long they've been there!

MumtoCharlotteMay · 25/01/2008 19:55

Abby so glad to hear R's feeling better.

C got put down at half 7 all bathed and fed, and has just woken up screaming. I will not be beaten........

scootermum · 25/01/2008 20:02

Wish someone would say I had nice boobs [sigh]Have lost half a stone on this detox but none off my arse where it needs to come off and all off my boobs where I wanted to keep it..Have a good night M2CM..

DH will only have to resit that one exam but they only hold them every 6 months and he cant go on to do his finals till he passes that one so it will put him back 6 months in effect..and he was only 3 sodding per cent off passing it..

They are moving me to Hammersmith TYG..My boss was trying to sell it to me by pointing out that I would be near a very large Primark..that'll make the 90 min commute each way worth it then..I will have all the £1 knickers you can shake a stick at but when I get home will be too tired to show them to DH
I am going to try and argue against it as its going to mean im not back for the kids tea as I would've been at my old job and also the unit I will be mananging is currently a failing one..I had enough of that at my old one which got an Excellent in its report jsut before I went on leave, but which was far from Excellent when I went there..but it was really hard work to sort it out and I havent the wherewithall anymore..

JW/TYG Are we meeting up laydees?Where and when?
JW 'N' Scoot are gonna make Jam when she moves to the country

Where is Mrs JB?She hasnt been on in a bit..

M2 latinoboys..I think its understandable you dont know how to feel..thinking of you..

Hows DH Pebble?Got over his mopes now?

Well L has (shhhh, whisper it)been very good again today. We had a walk to the garden centre which is about 2 miles away..she slept in the buggy all the way there (she hasnt slept in the buggy for about 18 months so this is a miracle)She sat very nicely and ate a Penguin bar in the cafe whilst I fed Mae.We went round the Pets corner and she didnt throw a paddy when it was time to go.And after walking part of the way back she didnt go mad when I put her back in the buggy as she normally does and instead sang Wheels on the bus, or her abridged version of it, all the way home..Its like having a different child!

Off to my sisters in Ashford tomorrow.Am going to buy work clothes at Bluewater on the way Actually I fit into most of my old ones now but am not about to tell DH that as he knows how upset I am about the job and is going to treat me to some new bits..silver linings...

scootermum · 25/01/2008 20:06

Courage Mum2CM..sending C sleepy baby vibes..

twelveyeargap · 25/01/2008 20:22

Hammersmith! I think a 90 minute commute is optimistic love. You need to speak to them. Surely they can't just move you without consultation?

I mean, if I went back to work, they couldn't just say, "oh we've decided to change your job to our back-up site in Croydon", could they?

Very for you.

Pebblemum · 25/01/2008 20:40

M2CM Hope C soon settles again. I did the same as last night with A, except she went into her cot at 7.10 (would have been earlier, she was knackered, but had to take E's friend home)All went well, she drank all her milk and then just dozed off, she is currently snoring her little head off, just hope she stays like it

Scoot DH has been quite nice the last few days, no sulking and he even bought me flowers the other day (they werent even reduced ones lol)We reached an agreement that he will go out two weekends in a row and then the third is spent at home with us. This weekend he is out. As long as he doesnt go all funny and argumentative when he comes home drunk then it should all be fine

TYG Havant have odds of 1000-1 of winning tomorrow lol, was tempted to put a bet on for a laugh. Its been funny seeing them on the News, I live over the road from their ground, shame they werent playing at home!

If A stays asleep Im in for another quiet night, E is in bed watching a dvd so hopefuly he will drop off soon and ds1 is off to his friends to sleep Peace!!!

Pebblemum · 25/01/2008 20:46

Scoot meant to say, stick to your guns and tell work you arent going, Im pretty sure they cant make you.

Pinkjenny · 25/01/2008 20:51

Hi all

Think I have just about managed to catch up on all the sleeping and eating news.

M2LB - I bled constantly from 5 to 8 weeks with Lexie. Sending you love.

We have been to Alder Hey today and lo and behold, Lexie does not have a squint. I'm glad I know my own child. Feel so relieved, I know its nothing really, but after the hips debarcle...

Am still struggling to not overreact when L is ill. She was not well last week, cold etc, and was shivering with a fever, so my mum and I took the poor child to a & e, the doctor said to me, 'if you bring this baby to hospital every time she has a temperature, you'll have a miserable life'. How can I chill? Any words of wisdom?

anneme · 25/01/2008 22:30

M2LB - don't worry about whether you are feeling too sad/not sad enough. It is all a lot to take in particulary with two lively DSs to look after so you are going to feel a bit all over the place. Remember there is no right way to feel.

Pink - of course you are going to react when Lexie is ill- you have been sent to hospital with hips and with squint so you are bound to feel a bit twitchy. I am sure you will feel calmer once you have had some time without medical issues iyswim.

S is screeching quite a lot now. Also is enjoying nursery and nanny but has got into the habit of crying really loudly when I get home. I know he is okk really because he only starts when he sees me and if I watch him before he sees me he is perfectly happy!

anneme · 25/01/2008 22:31

Hmmm - it was such an interesting post I thought I would put it on twice!!

MumtoCharlotteMay · 26/01/2008 01:10

BREAKTHROUGH!

She's still asleep. Put her down at about 7:20, she woke up when I wrote my last post, cried for about 10 minutes and then got herself back off to sleep. Not a peep since.

Not going to count my chickens too early though, my parents are looking after her tomorrow night when I go out so I'm not sure if they'll stick to it or not. I'm sure if I have everything ready and prepared, my dad can just feed her and pop her down into bed.

Scoot how crap for your dh! And by only 3%. I missed an exam by 2% once and it was the most frustrating thing ever. Glad to hear L's been so good. Also think you should speak to work as what they're asking seems, to put it lighty, a bit unreasonable. Surely they can't just move you without even asking if it would be ok? You have a family.

Pink tbh I think considering what you went through with L, breech baby, c-section, hip problems, chance of a squint etc, then you're bound to worry. I would much rather worry and get it checked out and find it to be nothing, then to not check and have it be something. Does that make sense? You're a great mum and you care about L, agree that you may become calmer as times goes on with no problems. But don't ever feel like you shouldn't go to the docs etc if you feel like there is a problem, you're her mum and you know her best.

Pebble glad to hear dh is being better, and flowers too? My mum bought me some the other day when she got in from work, really put a smile on my face.

Hey to anneme, glad to hear s is enjoying nursery.

Right must go to bed. Will be up very early in the morning with C no doubt, and have to practice walking in heels again All in a days work!

Have fab weekend all x

mom2latinoboys · 26/01/2008 03:45

I just want to thank everyone again for their positive thoughts.
I tested again a few minutes ago, and am still positive. I will wait until Monday and if still positive go to see the midwife.

On a positive note. This morning Mateo comes up behind me, grabs my ass and says "shake it, shake it, shake it" It has been making me laugh all day. He really is a godsend that one.

AbbyLou · 26/01/2008 10:08

Oh my goodness M2LB, your head must be all over the place. I'll be thinking of you over the next few days.
MtoCM well done on the sleep breakthrough, I hope it carried on for the whole night. We had R in with us again last night. She was ok until 2am and then her cough was really annoying her and she just couldn't get back to sleep. When she gets really upset like that she just wants company so we had to put her in our bed. C woke up at 5.15 for the toilet and i managed to get him to go back for an hour. Then he wanted us at 6.15 so dh went and got in with him!
Dh and C have gone to Tesco now to do the weekly shop, it's their boy thing on a Saturday morning. It's great for me because I hate doing it. I think R is just stirring from her nap though so the peace will be shattered.
Oh my god I had forgotten what antibiotics does to their little bottoms. R had 2 explosive nappies in the middle of the night requiring a full strip off. I hope they don't continue for the whole course!

cinnamontam · 26/01/2008 12:05

Oh Scoot. How bloody frustrating for your DH. And...hello...Hammersmith!!! Only good thing about that is it's 10 mins from me You could come by for rants and tea.

M2CM - nice work ladies Sleep on.

Pebble - good to hear your DH is being a bit better. Fingers crossed this change in behaviour continues and you don't have to fight so hard for it

Pink - go with your instincts lovely. You are her Mum. Don't let 1 grumpy doctor make you doubt your ability to KNOW your DD

Julie - nice work on the viewings. Have you been inside the 'dream house' yet?

AB - glad to hear R is feeling more herself

Any news from Cam?

Tilda has a bad cold so won't eat anything and taking minimal boob - 2 days now so hope it doesn't last much longer otherwise she'll start losing weight. Her her 8 month check yesterday and she is bang on 50 percentile for weight but 97 for length That would be DH's 6 foot 8 coming out methinks

Hello to all the ladies and babes 'waves'

AbbyLou · 26/01/2008 13:28

Does anyone know if it's a normal reaction to antibiotics to have sever diarrhoea. Every time R eats or drinks anything it is coming straight out the other end within minutes. She is not bothered by it and doesn't seem to be in any pain.

twelveyeargap · 26/01/2008 14:16

Abby, yes. It's not unusual. Antibiotics change the make up of bacteria in the gut. If you google something like "infants reaction to antibiotics diarrhoea" or similar, you'll get lots of hits.
