DD had her first injections today, as instructed I've given her 3 doses of Calpol. After the second one her temperature was normal but it went up to 38° just before she was due her 3rd. It's now nearly w hours after the 3rd dose and her temperature is hovering around the 37° mark, should I give her another dose in a couple of hours or is it a ring 111 job if it isn't completely back down to normal after the 3 recommended doses? Obviously if it goes back up at all before then I'll ring 111 but it has come down albeit not to her "normal" temperature.

Usually takes 4 doses tbh. I gave both mine 4 doses. If it gets to the point of needing a 5th you need to call 111

Mine had a temp for about 36 hours. I just kept giving the calpol every 4 hours until he stopped having the temperature. When his temperature was normal in between he behaved normally, drank well, and had plenty of wet nappies (and LOADS of poo). Not sure what 111 would add unless they become unwell in some other way. I found it hard as felt so bad for him when he was hot and irritable, but calpol did the trick Smile

Thanks both, just checked again and it's 36.5 so is slowly coming down. Will check it through night and give another dose of calpol if needed. She's fine otherwise although has slept more than usual this evening.
