I'm sure this question has been asked many time before but anyone got any tips to help a 5 month old baby sleep longer than the 2 hour mark !

I understand it's all about sleep cycles and being able to self soothe but struggling with this !

Our night time and nap time routine is back into our room lights off and white noise on and I place him on my chest and gently walk around the room with a little bounce and he mostly drops of quite quick and I place him in his cot !

I've tried awake but drowsy but the minute I place him down he cry's ! I've tried lying with him but he is unsettled and I just can't face the cry it out when I no if I just walk around he is be content and drop off !

So my question is did anyone have any success and have tips or tricks to help baby get past waking up every 2 hours if they can't self soothe ?

We're not yet at that stage so can't offer any advice but google "4 month sleep regression" there's lots of tips and advice online to try, good luck!

Is he hungry? It's getting near the time you'll be thinking about weaning. Once you start weaning sleep can be disrupted while they get used to digesting solids but after that they do tend to sleep a good bit better.

I had this with my first from about 4 months, and the health visitor snd doc told me to introduce baby porridge, mixed with their milk, I would do it on a morning and evening and she would sleep so much longer!!! X

My LO woke every 45 mins at 4 months and slowly just slept a little longer, I had to put him in our bed at that point so I got any sleep. DH wasshoved onto the sofa, but we survived
