Hiya,

FTM here and I've had my baby on Aptamil since birth. She started off really well, but at around 3.5 months she began having a rumbly tummy and being unsettled. Gradually got worse and she also began to be sick after and in between bottles. By 4.5 months GP wanted to trial her on Aptamil Pepti 1 milk for suspected CMPA. This didn't work, sick was worse, more unsettled and her poos also changed. Wasn't going as often and straining more.

Decided to try her on Aptamil anti reflux milk and she was so much better. Sick less and in general happier. But this didn't last, her poos still aren't what they used to be. She strains more and sometimes only manages tiny amounts. She did stop bring dick but has recently started being sick again but only small amounts. She is more settled, but can still be a bit grumpy, especially in the evenings. She is teething but I think it may be the milk too?

I've Read such good things about Kendamil and love everything about it that I've read in regards to how and where it's made and what it's made from:

What's everyone's babies like with their milk? I know every baby is different but I'm thinking it should be the next one to go to as going by what I've read it should help her stop being sick, nappies hopefully be more regular and easier for her and be more settled.

What's everyone's opinions on it? Thank you xxx

I've started Kendamil yesterday for my daughter as cow and gate isn't agreeing with her, she was screaming in pain and so windy pumping all the time.

Very early days for us but since this afternoon she's been so chilled and sleeping peacefully. Still passing lots of windy but not screaming with it. My daughter is only 2.5 weeks.

I have heard some amazing reviews on it. I've recently had a baby and a lot of people on my due in group have swapped to it, they have said babies are much more settled on it and bring up their wind so much more easily.

I'm also very inclined to try it myself because of all of the amazing reviews x x

My DD is older and weaned now but Kendamil was a lifesaver for us when she was tiny. She had awful constipation/wind/green poo until I switched her milk.

The only drawback used to be that it was a pain to get hold of in the supermarket but I believe you can get it in Tesco now. I used to bulk buy from the Kendamil website to make sure we didn't run out.

I tried Kendamil for my refluxy baby and it didnt work. Had to go back to and stick with aptrimal anti-reflux.

I'm due my 3rd and hoping to start him/her on Kendamil and if they are fine on it keep going. It does seem to be the highest quality stuff out there and I like that it's made in the UK etc.

It didn’t help with my little girls reflux. Although she wasn’t drinking it happily. She’s 8 weeks now. I’ve noticed she prefers ready mixed formula. Have started her on SMA now. Two days she seemed happier but had her immunisations today so has been upset all day.
Have only read good reviews on kendamil though.

Also you can buy I kendamil from all my local supermarkets and Amazon. Their website has a section where you can check where it’s stocked.

Starrr123 · 27/07/2021 21:31

@WorkWorkAngelica my little girl is now going back to aptamil as kendamil made her reflux worse! Is the aptamil reflux good ? Does it constipate your little one ? I read somewhere that halfing the scoops with the normal
Aptamil works well xx

I like the idea of Kendamil but you can't get ready made which is a problem. I take a ready made bottle up at night for those 3-4am feeds.

legallytired · 08/11/2021 21:11

Have used Kendamil since DS was 8 weeks and got on well with it. I liked the fact it was made in the UK and that it contained no palm oil.
Less supermarkets stocked it when I started buying it so I've always order direct from their website. If you order 6 at a time, you get free delivery.

They have brought out the ready made bottles now too.

Aparently, Kendamil also make Sainsburys Little One's formula, which is cheaper and supposedly the same stuff. Our local Sainsburys doesn't stock it though, otherwise would have used that!

OtiMama · 08/01/2022 18:17

We used Kendamil, as did the majority of mums I know. Having tasted the formula, I actually thought that was the only one mildly like milk and not chemically tasting, so for me that says something.

Tesco do it and it was cheaper than Aptamil too. I know my friends feeding full time on it used to order direct from the K website though.

We started off with aptamil baby when my little girl was born she was fine for a week and then it all started she was pooing every after a feed and when asked docs and hv they say its normal but as a mum you know thats not normal it continued for 5 weeks kept on being said it normal poo was yellow seedy sinks like vinegar mucus . And then it stopped and then within a week time she stopped feeding as she had blocked nose and also it would seem like something in her throat, I would struggle to give her a bottle she just refused when really really hungry she will take it probably 7oz in the whole day kept calling the docs Trust me they have no knowledge on babies and formula milk that's my experience after 3 weeks we took her to A&E and been told she has silent reflux gave her lanzoprazale and then after a few days she started drinking properly thou she would get a tummy ache sometimes gave her calpol so it still not over she started getting a dry patch on her arms went to docs and they said its eczema it started going big probably a side effect of lamzoprzale so I then stopped it. And at 3 months I then thought I need to stop aptamil looking at other formulas all looked the same ingredients except for kendamil read alot about it and how good it is so went for that and trust me just been on it for 5 days and she's fine drinks well sleeps well no tummy aches poops well thou green colour and also had put on weight in these 5days I dnt want to jinx it but it's working for her and I can see how happy she is eczema is also fadding now applying centraben cream every hour. Just wanted to post here as if anyone wants to try kendamil go for it it might work for your baby too. We also were on nuk bottles and then changed them to mam after.

calliopea · 23/06/2022 07:08

Kendamil is great, we actually feed a mix of the cow and goat because I found the cows milk one to be a little claggy for baby as it's so creamy!

He's a bit older now so maybe will try again on just cows.

Sheyes180 · 07/10/2022 02:08
