TMI: First period

So I'm 3 months since having emergency c-section. Had the usual bleeding after and now I'm having my first period and its outrageously awful.
Did anyone else have the heaviest period after baby? For a couple of days now I've had large clots, soaking through massive incontinence pads and super tampons in 15 minutes and flooding everytime i move/stand.
Should I be concerned or totally normal. If it is normal did they calm back down again?

Hi @Hopefully84 👋 I'm 7 months postpartum and although they've calmed down a bit now my first few were bad. Literally couldn't take a couple of steps without feeling like it was just running away heavily! A lot like after my emergency c section tbh and yeah with clots too. Although my periods are still heavier and longer than before I had DC they aren't as bad as the start (still a few small cots though!) x

Hi @Hopefully84 I had this after my first baby and it was horrendous, however my periods went back to normal after the first terrible one.

Yes, mine are heavier. I'm 5 months pp, second baby.

They only last 4 days, first 2 days are awful.
