Hi,

My little boy is 4 months old and started getting a bit of redness around his toe a few weeks ago, kept an eye on it but it went away. I checked the other week and it had suddenly started going a bit yellow around both sides of the toe nail and on the actual skin of the toe, almost looks like a yellow scab? (Only way I can describe it) I rang GP who was very dismissive and said it'll be fine
It's now starting to go a green colour and the skin is peeling off around his toe, it also looks a little swollen. Unsure of what to do? Do I ring gp and demand him to be seen or do I keep an eye on it?

He doesn't have a fever and isn't seeming unwell or anything. I've touched it a few times and it doesn't seem to really hurt him but just concerned by the look of it and the colour

You’ve kept an eye on it and it doesn’t seem to be improving so I would speak to gp or health visitor about it. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about but always best to get it checked if it’s not improving x
