EBF wanting to start pumping

Hi all

I have a 5 week old that I've been EBF on breast. I want to introduce bottle now so she gets used to a bottle at times but also DH can help with feeds

I don't really know where to start? I want to do one bottle a day and then gradually increase

When should I pump? Will I increase my supply if I start pumping? I was thinking of pumping in the morning for an evening feed. When that evening feed is giving do I still need to pump at the same time as giving a bottle or can I just go without?

Try one of those Hakka type pumps on the other side whilst you are feeding. I bought a lansinoh one which came with a lid and neck strap.
It took a few foes to get the hang of but I collected an impressive amount, double what I collected in my electric medela. Unfortunately I’ve got a bottle refuser.

I didn’t pump when giving a bottle. Supply seemed to cope with erratic demand

Thanks @Itllbeaninterestingchristmas I've already got a medela pump so just going to see how I get on with that first. But I have heard very good things about haaka

And good to know about not needing to pump when giving a bottle. I'll see how I get on without having to do that, hopefully I shouldn't have to
