I am becoming of the opinion that this generation of babies don't need to sleep!

glad you had a good swim. it's too cold for me

took a wee walk to the shops after school today and came back through the woods. DS halfway home said he needed a poo so had to go behind a tree. He has got a VERY poorly tummy the poor thing.....I've just thrown his undies straight in the bin....not nice at all.

would explain my queasiness though....it must be a bug.

Glad it went OK Ria. They are looking for dinner ladies at our school as well, but I'd need to pay for a childmider for DD so it wouldn't be worth it.

They're looking for parent governors as well though. I think I'll apply for that.

TALLULAHSPELL · 09/10/2007 16:21

Would have been nice to do a few lengths myself & a shower to warm up afterwards would have been lovely. But aside from that it was fun.

TALLULAHSPELL · 09/10/2007 16:23

Oh Daisy - yr DS not having a good time of it. Or yoy for that matter

TALLULAHSPELL · 09/10/2007 16:23

Ahem - you i mean.

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 16:24

Glad DD enjoyed her swim Tallulah I haven't taken my LO yet. Need to sort out the logistics, like is there somewhere to put the buggy (safely) while we're in the pool, what to do with her while I change etc.

Poor DS and his bad tum, Daisy. Perhaps just as well you were in the woods? Hope you don't get it too bad yourself.

TALLULAHSPELL · 09/10/2007 16:28

Went with another mum, she drove & we just carried LO's in so no buggy. They had family changing so cd lie DD down on changing table. Had cossie on already so that was ok but getting dried & dressed after was tricky & i did come home with no socks on.

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 16:30

I have 15 min walk to our pool, so would need to take buggy. I usually go with cossie on under clothes, so that would be easy enough, but not sure what facilities they have for putting DD down while i change afterwards - wouldn't want to be lying her on the floor, at best it'd be hard, and would possibly be wet!

TALLULAHSPELL · 09/10/2007 16:37

Have u got sling? Would be easier & cd shove in locker. Think most pools have family change cubicles but cd call & ask about their facilities. Also make sure to check that there are no schools using the baby pool!!!! God it was chilly!

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 16:44

sling might work. We only have one pool, but it has a "beached" section for LOs, and I've seen when they have sessions exclusively for parents and pre-school children so would take her then.

Elsbells · 09/10/2007 16:58

am back for a sec...DD doesn't like me online anymore. It was soooo much easier when I just could stick her on my boobs and surf away.

it's an ugly day and I am feeling broke, broke, broke. Not worth going back 2 work. Childcare for 2 would put me in the red. So if any of u have any great £££ making ideas, pls let me know.

If not, I suspect I'll have 2 sell all my old clothes that a mother of 2 just wouldn't wear anymore as don't go anywhere fun anymore.

How's everyone's day been?

Elsbells · 09/10/2007 17:00

I am suddenly feeling organised. I have found a baby massage class for DD starting in Nov and I have filled out her passport application. DH should be paying me a wage I think.

Elsbells · 09/10/2007 17:14

are u all hiding????

well I am off to start dinner, my life is far to exciting.

Daisy

I showed DH what you typed last night and this is what he says to do to completely uninstall the software. Hope it works!

Sorry everyone else - just skip this post!

  1. Plug in USB device
  2. Go to "My computer" and right click on it
  3. Click on "hardware" tab
  4. Go into device manager. You will see a list of devices on your PC. Look in Network Adaptors. It will probably be called "Netgear Wireless Ethernet Adaptor". When you've found it, right click on it
  5. Choose "Uninstall"
  6. Reboot laptop
  7. Re-install sofware using set-up from CD

HTH

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 17:44

grrrrr, am getting totally irritated by a contestant on tye weakest link. I want to make her stand upright, cut her hair, speak up and get a f'ing question right!

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 17:44

sorry for rant

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/10/2007 17:57

tell your DH thanks Charlie...I'll try that later once the DCs are inbed.

DD is doing my head in....she is just squealing and squealing just because she can!

I was reading some threads on here about feeding and routines etc and apparently they can go a bit loopy around the four month mark. Might explain things here. I'm going to go to bed at 8pm just after the kids so I can cope with it. I don't think DH is home till Friday...he tells me his schedule every week and it goes in one ear and out the other.

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 17:59

Hoorah, she got to the final BUT LOST!

Charlie999 · 09/10/2007 18:04

FWIW DD is pissing me off as well - farking whinging....she is quiet whenever she is near me...GGGRRRR....attention seeker!!

Now its bathtime then BEDTIME....

Charlie999 · 09/10/2007 18:50

Peace reigns in this house....asleep by 6.45pm.....paracetamol beakons.....

teabag007 · 09/10/2007 19:31

we've got squeaks and yells here too. i was wondering if any pain but it doesn't appear so as otherwise happy. i guess teething probably isn't too far away...
have been thinking we should go swimming but i haven't been myself for years and isn't it cold for the little ones?
you're all reminding me of things we need to do.....swimming, find massage group (or baby mother group or sign group or some such), get new DH passport (and spouse visa for aus and baby passport)
ria, glad your back to work thing went ok. i really can't imagine it at this stage so well done i say.
els, like you am wondering what i can do from home for some squids. don't want to think about going back to work....head in sand
mj, how is little one after jabs now? we've got to go on friday, had one wasted trip already followed by another trip when only
one jab available..
daisy, hope your bug passes and you're feeling better shortly

milkyJammy · 09/10/2007 19:38

LO was a bit cranky this afternoon, but lots of cuddles, and a couple of small doses of calpol (one when we got home, one at bedtime) calmed her down. She enjoyed her bath, so obviously wasn't totally out of sorts, then had a good feed and fell asleep about 10 mins ago.

Waiting room was chocka full, including some pikey-types and the Boden family. I like to think we were with the majority who fell somewhere in the middle
