lucy, pnd is very common and can manifest itelf in many different ways.

Have you discussed this with your HV, or taken the Edinburgh test. It's routine here at about 8 weeks post natal.

BernieBear · 24/09/2007 11:11

PND can take many forms, can you speak to your HV? Sometimes just chatting about it with someone impartial helps and you can put things into perspective.

IMO the earlier you deal with it, the better for everyone, especially you and ds. I had it and bonded well with my ds (now 3.6) but let the PND (didn't know what was wrong with me) keep going as, like you, didn't know if I had it (and also didn't want to admit it)

Try popping on the Feeling Depressed thread (not that you are!) and ask there. There are plenty on there you have/are suffering from it and they may beable to help.

Congrats on your ds by the way.

low libido, and being moody are par for the course after a baby, especially when you are tired.. do you find it hard to look forward to things? crying? eating a lot more/ less? gaining / losing a lot of weight? anxious ? your HV or GP can talk it through with you and help

lucyw19 · 24/09/2007 11:32

Ive booked an appointment at the doctors ust to tlk about things, ive lost weight but thats due to me dieting and wanting to get rid of as much baby weightas possible, i have cried a bit in the last week, but i was due on, im just not sure how i couldnt no, i no they say you cant but i can usually tell if im down etc!
