Morning, good grief tis some ungodly hour in the LG&T household. B is sat on me wide awake and full of some lergy. The night went something like this, bed at 1030, up at 1145 to strip baby and cot after sick marathon, 1240 feed baby as clearly an empty stomach not conducive to sleep, 2am put rogue 2 year old in bed as he had decided it was morning and there was tv to be watched, 3am feed baby, 5am give up wil to live sleep and come downstairs to reach for the gin medised bottle...

Good news though! Car on drive all fixed Seems it was just a broken wirerunning from the fuse box to some fuel (something begining with c) gizmo. £40 quid and all is well. So i take it back, car fabby, it does need to grow another seat though or will have to be changed in the next year.

Pink i am immensely proud every time i read one of your posts, you are doing an amazing job with Lexie and i hope you forget those dark early days and remember the good that was in there Lexie is such a cutie.

HDWP i have a feeling our first meeting may degenerate in to sobs, i just want to give you a hug and tell you it's all ok. It is ok and you will get past this, M is splendiferous and it's all down to you.

Just had a break for a super poo, through vest, babygro and sleeping bag, teeny tiny spot on my leg but im not stripping.

NOB i cannot believe how well J is doing, you and HDWP must be dishing out full cream milk. Think B is struggling to make 14lbs. How is the packing going? We have an NCT sale here too on Sunday.

Have you heard about it MUM2G? Its only off Stokes Bay, shall i email you details?

Am going to attempt to drink my cup of tea now, wish me luck >

largeginandbloodpunch · 06/10/2007 06:24

PMSL at Juliewoolie, how is your head chick?

NairobiOrBloodSuckingBats · 06/10/2007 07:59

at Julie, more importantly - are you pregnant yet?

aprilmeadow · 06/10/2007 08:05

what are you trying to say LG&T???

Lupins71 · 06/10/2007 08:08

Big pats on the back and large slices of cake to all may mummies - we are all doing a fab job and really deserve to be sent of to the bahamas for a two week break because we have been through so much and i think we should all be really proud of ourselves [proud of my may buddies emoticon]

I dont think anyone should feel bad about how thier little one came into the world - the fact is they are here and safe and well, thats a successful birth in my eyes - what would the alternative be, doesnt bear thinking about really, the fact is sometimes mother nature just needs a helping hand and thankfully we live in a country where this can happen. Its how we raise them afterwards that will affect thier wellbeing and where we can make a differance.

LGT sounds like a rough night, hope your day is a bit easier, good news about the car

My little guy is now 6months - omg!!! where did that go, he has started getting a bit clingy the last few days, nice to be loved but hope it doesnt last he didnt want me to leave the room yesterday, my friend held him and he was in floods of tears when he realised it wasnt me!!

NOB wow at J being 19lb well done him!!

Have a good day all xx

Lupins71 · 06/10/2007 08:10

LGT something your not telling us??

NairobiOrBloodSuckingBats · 06/10/2007 08:25

ooo yes I missed that bit, maybe LG&T will pip Julie to the post

aprilmeadow · 06/10/2007 08:30

HDWP & PJ your girlies are beautiful.

Hey lups, good to see you. Congrats on the 6mths mark! Ella is 6mths on Wednesday

NOBSB, wow 19lbs!! Ella is about 15lbs. Hope the viewing goes well for you. We have been having a look at houses as there are some gorgeous ones that have come on the market in nearby roads. Looked at 3 yesterday that were 5beds - they were amazing, one was very WAG stylie. Could definately see me living there! Need to get back to reality though.

Hello HBTAJ, glad to see that J was a bit more settled, hope you have the same today.

I have a huge list of things that need to be done before we go on holiday (Thursday) and I just do not know where to start. Need to pack clothes for dh & i (kids were done yest), need to tidy the garage so that all the furniture from the lounge can go in there as we are having wood flooring laid whilst on hols. Then need to blitz the rest of the house as having new carpet laid on tues/wed. arrgghhhhhh

Pinkjenny · 06/10/2007 08:33

LG & T - you are so fab, I wouldn't have even begun to get through the first few weeks without you. Having said that, I couldn't do it without you now! L is a cutie pie, bouncing in her chair blowing raspberries at her daddy. She slept til 5.20am last night and then down again til 7.15am. Hooray!!!! Although I'm now wise enough to know this means nothing. Haha.

We do all need to try to meet up at some point and just cry all over each other for a day. I'm loving Scoot's idea of a mass Centerparcs love-a-thon. Maybe to celebrate their first birthdays or something.

Lupins - I can't believe LO is 6 months. Unbelievable. When I was going through the ante-natal posts, I was laughing about how jealous we all were of you and april.

Julie - hope your head is OK, pregnant yet?

One of my mummy friends is also trying for her second. Thomas is the same age as L. I must admit, it must be good to get the whole baby stage out the way at once. I'm going again when L is about 3. Couldn't afford to have two in nursery.

Am feeling all warm and cuddly today towards MN. Will I be able to post next week at CP?

juliewoolie · 06/10/2007 08:46

head is very bad lots of advil at 5am. Thinking of sending DP to Macdonalds see scoot still putting money in your coffers for sausage and egg mcmuffin

Best not be pregnant as am sure my insides are pure cider not sure if it counts as one of my 5 a day.

Will now attempt to read the posts properly and make gushing comments about all of us and how brilliant we are.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 06/10/2007 09:27

Morning all.

You're very lovely all of you although you clearly don't know me very well. I am not a 'natural' mother at all. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong, sometimes very wrong but mostly I just do enough. Doesn't matter really as it's enough for the Tank.

We're 19lb+ here too Cam. I'm working on my bride price atm. It involves gingerbread as I'm sure you probably guessed.

Anybody see QI last night? Thinking of changing my name to TheDalaiFarmer!

Liking the idea of the big holiday we all deserve but the Bahamas a bit warm for me. I'm more a Highlands Fling kinda gal. Definitely up for Center Parcs and a mass May meet-up. I love Center Parcs. Sure M and her hubby to be will scare all the other babies with their sheer size.

If anybody can find grobags for me I will be eternally grateful and can Paypal them. I keep trying on ebay but get outbid all the time. Anything over 6 months in size and with magical sleep properties included and that's all requirements satisfied.

Off Christmas shopping this morning and then to watch the rugger with ILs. Go England! We're going to get mullered.

Mathilda in 12 month clothing today. Too long but fits round her porky little middle.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 06/10/2007 09:28

And...

You're all a bunch of lushes!!

Pinkjenny · 06/10/2007 09:52

HDWP - have a fab time at the rugby. I am off to Southport with mum, got lots of stuff to get before Monday.

We have a similar problem here but the other way round. L was 13lb 13oz at weigh-in on Thursday but is ridiculously long, owing to her ridiculously tall father. So we were discussing this am that she will need to sleep in 6-9 month babygros from now on as her tootsies are jammed into the bottom of the 3-6 month ones now. She doesn't fill them anywhere else though. Titch.

Have a fab day everyone.

Pinkjenny · 06/10/2007 09:56

Why do I keep saying 'fab'.

Lupins71 · 06/10/2007 10:02

soh wht sort of grobags u after, just gave AM a couple but might have another spare lurking about the place

juliewoolie · 06/10/2007 10:35

SOH please stop beating yoursself up about the tanks birth what happened was unavoidable and you are both healthy and happy and thats what counts. But if you do feel the need to have more info you can go to the hospital and be talked through your birth.

Everyone else congrats to all of us for continuing to be the best mummies ever, I'm really sorry head is too wooly to make comment on whats been going on. Apart from LG&T did I miss something are attempting to get up duff again - are you mad woman!

Right I think we do need to organise a proper meet up for everyone to come to is there a sort of middle area that we could all get to??

OK Macdonalds consummed caught up on MN think its time to drag my sorry arse to the shower.

Lupins71 · 06/10/2007 10:37

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cant get on with anything he wont be put down!!!!!!!!!! oh well will have to sit on pc till he goes to sleep

NairobiOrBloodSuckingBats · 06/10/2007 14:02

SOH, I got you a grobag! Its not superduper quality but its a good start...email me your address if you want it or send it to me on my facebook messages, call it a love offering from J to M

We too are about to watch England get hammered, I am only watching it because dh says the Ozzies have a new flyhalf who is a bit of eye candy

April your house is going to look soooo good when its done, I am . Where are you going on holiday?

Pink, Lexies pics are so adorable she is so tiny and pretty and like LG&T I love the name it is just so feminine. I noticed today that the grobag people do a sleepsuit with stretchy feet, this which might solve your probs?

aprilmeadow · 06/10/2007 18:31

we are off to Lanzarote- playa blanca. The best bit is that my mum is coming with us! She is having ds for a whole week :D

last holiday (barr the CP one in July) was when i was 8wks pg and had horrendous ms - worst holiday EVER!!!

Mum2G · 06/10/2007 20:15

Hi all

Had a lovely day, dh took me shopping for a winter coat and bought me a leather jacket, i have always wanted one! it is tan and lovely and soft - not the most practical of purchases, just wait for G to throw up on it! Also got some pressies for G's xmas box. We picked up some coasters that we had made for the in laws, with g's handprint on them, so cute i wanted to keep em!

LGT - yes please do e mail me details of the sale - don't know stokes bay but will look it up and nip over if get time tomoz - am setting up my work area so that i can make a start on my phd corrections next week - so depednds on how lomg it takes me to find everything as all my work stuff is still packed away.

Cam - dh has been asked to apply for a job in Swindon, Wiltshire, don't know the place myself - dh's mates say it's not a great place, more of a commuter town, but it is a really good job, for a good company - he is an electronic engineer, so we shall see, what happens. DH is going to apply, and has been told that if he puts his cv in then it will be 'looked upon favourably', so that sounds encouraging. It would be much better than working for a small family firm, whose only interests are maintaining their swish lifestyle, and don't look after their employees. Property prices are cheaper there aswell, so G would be able to have a nicer garden to run around in when he is older!

Another meet up sounds good

i have questions, what is a 'lush' am off to hide now before you all laugh at me!

Mum2G · 06/10/2007 20:18

I asked Dh, he said is it soemthing like slut!!!! but he is not sure, i told him i don't that's it, are we showing our age?

juliewoolie · 06/10/2007 20:28

well it can cause sluttish behaviour but a lush is someone who has consummed too much grape juice

Mum2G · 06/10/2007 20:30

, dh says in that case one glass and i am a lush!

Bensonbluebird · 06/10/2007 21:37

NOBSB - as you will soon be based Nairobi will you need to pay for M in cows?

PJ and HDWP - lovely pictures, must take and post some more myself. Aidan is somewhere over 19lbs too and fitting just nicely into 9-12 months clothes.

I've had a bug for the last few days and have been feeling completely wiped out. It didn't help that Aidan just couldn't settle last night, he was sleeping for between half and hour and an hour and half. I gave up at about 2am and put him in bed with me - slept till 6.30 then. I think maybe his teeth are bothering him, A&P (Baby coke my friend calls it) certainly seems to help.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 06/10/2007 22:30

GGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EEEEEENNNNNGGGGLLLLLAAAANNNNDDDD!

What a match. We're in the semi finals. And France beat NZ. WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEE!

Cam will contact you on Facebook tomorrow morning and I insist on paying you! Lupins, in the nicest possible way, I ain't fussy. I'm desperate for grobags as M is rapidly growing. She's long too, 98th centile for length. HV reckons that's our problem, she's actually going to be tall. DH not tall. Milkman is.

M crying for food.

LG&T are you preggo?

Must go...
