Yes, there are other people. Family, the health visitor. But mostly I just have to get through the down moments and enjoy the happier ones. I'm not down all the time.

Actually, it's occurred to me that maybe this is just slightly worse than normal PMT, only at rather than before the beginning of my period.

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 12:44

glad it's not all the time
How's d doing?
Keep hearing squelchy poo noises coming from the baby gym area - think it might be nappy time soon

Eddas · 08/09/2007 15:06

SOL, how you feeling now? Have you managed to get a break? I felt exactly the same last week, it's horrible I am so glad MIL could have dd & ds for me. Is there anyone who'll have dds? Dh was begining to get on my nerves big time but we got on fine without dc's so I think it the combination that does my head in. I am so please dh is off work for 2 weeks and we're off on hols on monday. Then when we get home dd will be back at preschool, bloody hoorah for that. It's been far too long. I am hoping that things will be better then. I know it's gonna get harder having to be somewhere everyday etc etc but at least i won't have to be a kids entertainer all day everyday.

Just wanted you to know you weren't alone in feeling like this.

Elkie, haven't read all your posts, have you made up with dp yet? I hate rowing. We never row about major things, just little niggles.

Hi everyone else, brain mush now i've posted this much they need a pg/mother brain emoticon
We're not far off finishing decorating our dining room now. It's so much better in this place everytime a room gets finished. The old decor was not our taste at all. Think dado(sp) rails/corner shelves and yellow and white in most rooms think they 'tarted' it up to sell and got a job lot of yellow and white The front room is yellow at the top, white at the bottom with a mint green dado rail nice. And minging fire place and carpet. looks great

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 16:56

anyone need cheering up?

Eddas · 08/09/2007 16:58

i read some of those earlier, very amusing and

Sexonlegs · 08/09/2007 17:26

Hi there.

Things are better thanks.

The root of the trouble really is B. She is what you would call an explosive child and a very stong willed one. Dh and I have in fact bought some books to give us some idea of how to handle her. I think yesterday was just such a mix of emotions for B and probably more for me what with saying goodbye to the staff at preschool and then going straight to big school for stories. Dh feels stressed too of course, but he isn't as involved as me dropping off, picking up etc. and doesn't see it all iykwim.

Anyway, we will just have to get on with it.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and enjoying the fab weather. xx

nappynuttynormabutty · 08/09/2007 18:12

Sorry you're finding it difficult at the mo SOL. Hope you get some time out.

Elkie, hope you're ok. Agree with SPB about asking D what a good job you're doing . I'm sure dp doesn't mean what he says when you argue, it's prob all down to him being stressed about his mum. (((hugs)))

Eddas hope you have a nice holiday. Know what you mean about getting a house to your own taste...when we moved here the kitchen was painted bright orange ...and it was tile paint (on normal walls - no idea why )

SPB - I assume (cos haven't clicked yet!) the link was to the mum/mil q's thread...I've posted on it

Ellie - hope you're feeling better

Pesha - glad it went ok with Asda

Walked into town today and had lunch there and a look round the shops, then walked all the way to local shopping centre and went round the shops there before walking home. Lots of exercise for me to lose the baby belly I WISH!!!

elliek · 08/09/2007 20:37

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:15

Hi everyone
ellie, really glad you're feeling better, but try not to overdo it tomorrow (easier said than done I know)
Hi SOL and nutty - yes it is that thread, off to catch up in a sec
Off to DH's cousin's 30th birthday party tomorrow then to pick DH up from airport as he's been in France since yesterday watching the rugby - can't wait to have him back.
Well, I'm definitely going to bed soon as promised myself an early night while he was away - didn't manage it yesterday

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:15

sorry x post butty

elliek · 08/09/2007 21:19

i got a dress in tesco in the end

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:21

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:22

i need to sort out a christening for t, where on earth do i start

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:22

I've definitely asked this before ellie but brain like a sieve, when is M's birthday?

elliek · 08/09/2007 21:24

I did look for a link but couldn't find it anywhere, will take a pic

start - find a church

M's birthday is 25th but having 2 parties, one tomorrow for family, one on 22nd for his friends (& pesha!)

OP posts:
Peshatlast · 08/09/2007 21:24

M's birthday is 22nd i believe.

Elies now gonna show me up as a total knob and say its not!!
But its definitley that weekend.

Oh and Jamie lost football today ellie

Peshatlast · 08/09/2007 21:26

Bollocks could have sworn you said it was on day of his...ah no thats nephews is on same day as party... ooops sorry

And even bigger sorry for confusing you with SIL!!

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:26

hmm yes, we have a church but were hoping to have moved before christening
Same as everything - we wanted to move before...
Is Joe nervous about tomorrow? Is he wearing a long frilly dress? DH was a bit when I told him T would be - well maybe not frilly, but definitely a dress!

Peshatlast · 08/09/2007 21:28

None of my children have been christened and neither have I

Always mean to have nice naming ceremony for them but never have enough money at the time and then it seems too late!

StealthPolarBear · 08/09/2007 21:29

that's what is worrying me
I know there's not an age limit but I'd like to do it while he's a baby
but I'm so good at letting the months slip by

nappynuttynormabutty · 08/09/2007 21:31

SPB - as long as you want the christening in your parish church (or wherever you live at the time!) or in a church you go to regularly it won't be too much hassle. It's usually done during a Sunday service (unless you pay for a private ceremony - well that's how it worked where we had ours). You can pick godparents (tho some churches will insist that the godparents have been christened - depends on the vicar...ours didn't mind, tho he knew us quite well from getting married there and it helped that dh got christened at the same time).

elliek · 08/09/2007 21:31

SPB, it doesn't have to be your local church. I am having joe christened because the church as a building and spiritual place means a lot to me, it's in the village where i grew up, not where i live now.

i think nutty did similar, the church was near her family, not their local church IIRC

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 08/09/2007 21:32

Me and my brother and in fact dh and his brother were never christened and neither have B or K been. Or any of her cousins - heathens!!!
