Getting BF baby to take a bottle

DS is 7 weeks old, FTM, we originally gave him a dummy when he was just a week old but took it away after a few days on advice from the midwife.
Breastfeeding is well established and going okay however baby now doesn't know what to do with a dummy or a bottle of breast milk. He just chews it and looks at husband/me confused for a while before crying. It's really getting me down that he can't use it. I enjoy breastfeeding most of the time but I'd like the option of a break or know I'm okay to have a night out because I've expressed milk but it's not happening! I've tried tommee tippee closer to nature, MAM and the medela calma range.
Has anyone else had experience with this and had a breakthrough?! Please help one frustrated mum xx
