V of all your snoozy babies. G is still waking 5ish times anight and for the last 2 days it's been a battle to get him to nap. Teeth bothering him and got a bit of a snuffle. Whinging incessently.

J's sons are the opposite of scary. H is 18 and he's a friendly young man who's just off to university with his brilliant A level results, and Ted is a shy 13 year old who likes Green Day - we lent him a couple of CDs.

Hope you got to enjoy your organic choc chip cookies CD. I managed to grab a sandwich and even make cups of tea when my dad arrived here, though my tea was cold when I got round to drinking it.

Yesterday D slept so much and was so quiet I worried about him, today he won't do more than catnap and he looks shattered. He's reclining on my lap at the moment and struggling to keep his eyes open.

tempted by the xmas meet up. Could turn it into a visit to SIL and her new bubba (due end of Sept), then that means dh will have help with babysitting. Will ask him tonight.

Wow leaky...that so similar to us!!! SIL due beginning of sept. We thought we could tie it in with visiting them and delivering xmas pressies for that side of the family (DHs).

I might be able to help a little on accommodation - probably one adult and one baby, double futon sofabed in our front room so not much privacy, and a travelcot as hopefully by December we will have got D into a cot in what will have become his room.

I can probably also advise on getting around London and help look for places to stay, though I've never had to pay for somewhere to stay in London so have no personal experience of hotel standards.

Does anyone else read Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series? I've just got Shopaholic and Baby out of the library and the opening pages are such fun, they bring back some memories (of course, I'm far more sensible than Becky Bloomwood). I wonder if she will get into real nappies, have doubts about that though....

It's not really my thing elkie but I read Shopaholic because Sophie Kinsella is the cousin of an ex-boyfriend. I've met her mum, she's lovely.

I am being good so far, I have a ring-sling, a pouch sling, and my mei tai. Have to delete the emails without reading them so I'm not tempted to buy more
