Postpartum period

Hi everyone,

I wondered if you could help. When did you get your first period again after birth? Those who weren't breastfeeding that is. Sadly we lost our darling boy a few days after birth. Feel like I am in limbo waiting for my body to settle down. And my GP was useless on this topic. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello oh I am so sorry about your boy. I got mine at 5 weeks and it was quite heavy but didn't last very long still waiting for my second one (I'm nine weeks post delivery now) . I guess everyone is different but my gp said should go back regular once they return. I feel like my body is back to normal now prob has been for a few weeks but I had a relatively easy delivery and I've only had 1 so don't know if it's quick for me or a normal amount of time xx

@lunamoon1 I had my baby 8 weeks ago on Saturday and I got my period back at 6 weeks. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss 😔 xx
