urdu? eh?

thanks for warning me re: hormones, eli, I have warned dp! Burst into tears for no good reason (other than less than 4 hours sleep) several times today. I know he's still my baby, it's just that it really was such a journey from hating it with ds1 & lasting 9 weeks to actually coming to love it with ds2. But he's happy, that's what matters & I got to give ds1 his bath & stories tonight which is nice, i don't do it that often these days. Apparently I am the best mummy he's ever had [proud mummy icon]!

accessorizewithbabysick · 26/10/2007 22:56

ooh, ooh, castles has invited me to be a facebook friend, I feel quite special now

castlesintheair · 27/10/2007 09:28

You are special AQ Now someone (don't think I can) can invite you to join our group on there. Olihan? Indith??

accessorizewithbabysick · 27/10/2007 14:16

Awwww, castles I'm in the group now, just putting a photo on (course indith knows what I look like anyway!).

MargosBeenPuttingSpellsOnMN · 27/10/2007 19:52

I've joined the group too.

dd2 went to bed and was asleep by 9pm! I think I was doing CC (although I'm not too sure)!

Although she seems not to need a b/f at night now. I think I'm winding b/f down too

AF arrived last week, I have not missed that!

GodzillasHorriblyHairyBumcheek · 27/10/2007 20:02

Have also requested to join - although you're unlikely to hear much from me...you'll recognise the pics of my redhaired dtds possibly!

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 27/10/2007 21:20

Margo, My DD just dropped her night time bf a week or so ago. She has a bf in the morning now and then a bit of cows milk from a cup in the afternoon. Sad isnt it....

MargosBeenPuttingSpellsOnMN · 27/10/2007 22:47

Well, bragging about a 9pm bedtime did me no good. dd2 has just fallen asleep. dd1 got up umpteen times until 10.15.

Pass the chocolate please!

Olihan · 27/10/2007 23:35

Has anyone else NOT had AF back yet? There's no sign of mine so far, although I have had a couple of episodes of what seems to be PMT recently but no AF. I am a little paranoid about being pg but as we only did the deed for the first time 3 weeks ago , I've got a coil and I haven't had an AF yet, I think the chances are very slim! DS2 bfs anything from 3-7 times a day, how much will it need to cut down before AF has any chance of returning?
(So I can stay above it, you understand, not to make AF arrive.)

Godzilla, I accepted you on FB.

Olihan · 27/10/2007 23:37

Sorry there's no Fudges or Twirls left, hope you like Dairy Milk WholeNut .

weirdbird · 27/10/2007 23:41

Oli, I got mine back in Aug and I am still feeding about 7 times a day.

In fact we are seeing the dietician next week as Hannah hasnt gained any weight since end of July, food is making her throw up still...

Am trying very hard not to worry, and not entirely sure how the dietician is going to help, but we shall see.

Blimey, Been trying to catch up on facebook and neglected here

Aq, I remember how sad I was when dd4 gave up {{{{hugs}}}}

I am kind of sorted with everyone on facebook, dh just thinks its another excuse to sit on my bum in front of the computer

magnolia74 · 27/10/2007 23:51

Oh and some not very interesting information: I will go to bed tonight with the smell of vomit haunting me. dd4 has been throwing up for the past 3 hours 2 loads of washing now

Olihan · 28/10/2007 00:54

Oh WB and Mags, your poor dds. Mags I hope she's better in the morning and you don't have too bad a night. (I'm switching madly between FB and here, more reasons for dh to grump about my hairy handed trucker mates )

WB, I didn't realise dd2 had been so ill. What has the GP said, other than the referral?

castlesintheair · 28/10/2007 09:32

Poor baby WB I didn't realise it was that bad. Is it the gastric reflux?

Mag, hope you got the vomit off the sheets. I had a lovely pooh sheet washing episode a few nights ago, but I won't go into that ...

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 28/10/2007 09:46

olihan - my periods came back when I got down to 2 feeds a day. It lasted for 7 weeks

wb - hope DD improves soon..

GodzillasHorriblyHairyBumcheek · 28/10/2007 14:54

Poor baby WB . I hope you can find out what's wrong. We are just about over the feeding problems i think - she is having an 11pm feed still, but that's the only extra one.

Mags - the smell of vomit was haunting me last night too - but because i had such a huge migraine and was violently ill myself. Still had to clean up after myself too, hmph.

AF came back ages ago for me but has departed again. I've missed one. Back to normal then!

babypowder · 28/10/2007 15:34

Oh, WB, hope the dietician can make sense of it for you.

I'm a bit like you, Mags, feeding several times a day (like at the moment as I type!) The worrying thing is that DD2 has taken to treating me like a dummy if she wakes in the night, and I don't know how to break the cycle. I tried CC but it woke DD1 and DH up and was a complete disaster.

magnolia74 · 28/10/2007 16:12

Same here bp so I just carry on feeding through the night Really don't know how or when I'm going to sort it.

weirdbird · 28/10/2007 16:32

Its the reflux still, I knew she hadnt gained a lot/if any over the summer, and asked to bring the Paed appt forward as she wasn;t meant to be seeing them till Dec.

Saw them last Mon and they confirmed I had done all the right things by backing off on the food when she had gotten so upset over throwing up food and just offering her food that doesnt trigger her very sensitive gag reflex.

Basically there is nothing I can do, if food makes her throw up it makes her throw up, but to keep offering it to her and keep persevering.

Will see what the dietician suggests..

Indith · 28/10/2007 18:16

Poor baby WB. Hope the dietician can give you some useful advice.

The whole clock changing thing makes me soooo grateful that ds has a habit of sleeping until 8.

Ds has learned a new trick today, kneeling up at the coffee table I swear I adore that boy more and more every day, he just has a constant grin on his face. (or at least he does if I conveniently forget those days when he just fussed and moans the entire time ) We have a new tooth too, an eye tooth! The second front top one is very close too but the eye tooth has beaten it.

Elibean · 28/10/2007 20:37

WB, sorry to hear you've got worries with dd...sounds like a more severe version of my dd's reflux problems. She's not gained much weight since the summer either (though has got longer) and still tends to throw up as soon as she has a cold/eats too much/drinks too much/coughs etc. Mostly last thing at night, of course - thus resulting in one or two feeds at unsociable hourse Will you let us know what the paeds say?

Joining Magnolia in the heady scent of vomit tonight....urgh...forget FB, for now, for me, I'm off to do more washing.

Elibean · 28/10/2007 20:37

ps AF appeared when dd was just 5 months old and I was BFing all the time - not since, am beginning to wonder if I've gone into sudden menopause

My sister did, and she was younger than me

Olihan · 28/10/2007 20:47

DH has gone back to work. I forgot how horrible it is when he's been home for a fortnight then has to go back and I know I'm on my own until Friday. AND I've got a stinking cold and sore throat .

Mags, how are the dcs?

Eli, do you think you have gone into the menopause? At the risk of being very insensitive, at least it's happened after you had dd2, if it has.

WB, poor dd2, hopefully the dietician can give you some ideas for high calorie foods to up her weight. Is she quite happy, other than the weight gain?

magnolia74 · 28/10/2007 21:06

Now one of the twins is throwing up I feel awful coz I keep repeating 'Please try to get it in the bucket'
