Anyone else suffered with this? And took antibiotics. I got diagnosed today, feeling awful, but my boobs aren't too bad?! Plus the red patch on my left boob. Feel weary taking antibiotics whilst breastfeeding..

I’m currently on 2 lots of antibiotics for mastitis with my 5 week old. They’re really safe and only trace passes through milk, I’ve been on them 6 days now and my DD is absolutely fine. I knew that it was definitely infected mastitis as I had a high temp and racing pulse. Definitely best to get sorted as it can lead to further complications like abscesses etc if not treated effectively. Sorry this is a late reply, only just seen your post.
