My baby is nearly 5 weeks and has really dry skin on his forehead, hands and feet. Any advice on what I could use on it?

Baby Aveeno is really good, they do a formulation for dry skin which sorts dd’s out in a couple of days.

Stop bathing him daily, drop it back to once a week or so and top and tail daily. Don't use any bath products or soaps on him at all at this stage.

Aside from that, I've heard very good things about child's farm baby moisturiser. I would go to the GP and get their advice first though- I've read that lots of moisturisers will actually result in a net loss of moisture in newborns.

We were recommended grapeseed oil by the midwives. You get it in supermarkets.

Coconut oil worked for us! Trying it on the baby acne now...

Thanks everyone, I'll try coconut oil and see if that helps the baby acne too. If nothing else he'll smell nice!
