MAM ‘Easy’ start anti colic bottles leaking?

Hi

I’ve got the MAM easy start anti colic bottles - the ones that come apart at the bottom and the top with the white silicone disc in the base. Bought specifically for the microwabke sterilizing option. But they leaking from both ends! What am I doing wrong? It’s heartbreaking to see my expressed milk leaking everywhere!

I would say screwing them together not tight enough.
By coincidence I was feeding my sister’s little one this morning and when I tipped the bottle up to test milk was flowing from the teat OK milk came out of the bottom - I just screwed it on a bit tighter and it didn’t leak at all when I fed him.
It did whistle a little when he was sucking, but he seemed happy enough, didn’t bring anything.back after he’d finished and slept well later.
When I mentioned it to my sister she said that perhaps the white rubber bit hadn’t been pushed properly into the grey part of the bottle.

  1. Not screwed on tightly enough
  2. Teat is no pushed in properly (should click)
  3. White rubber bottom not pushed down enough
