My sis had her dd 5.5wks ago and is still bleeding. I can't remember how long I bled for after my 2 and was wondering what the average was.

TIA

It varies a lot. I bled for over 8 weeks with my first, and only a couple of weeks with the next two.

Thanks, it is her first and is a bit worried and I couldn't remember - all a bit of a blur

It's still within the normal range

Just over 3 months for me. Thought it would never stop...

I think 6 weeks is average - i was stil lbleeding after three months with my first. All finished in 2 weeks aftrer second. Take iron.

6 weeks is average...the things to look out for are a sudden increase in bright red flow, big clots , feeling ill and the loss having a bad smell...otherwise is normal...

6 ish weeks is about right, should be less and darker by now though. I actually had eased right off at around 4-5 weeks then had a period at 6 despite exclusively b'feeding.
