Hi
I can't find a May babies thread. Anyone else have a baby in May?
I had my DD number 3 on 14th May by elective caesarean as my other two were Caesarean sections too due to complications.

@3girlmama little girl. I say little but she is getting bigger by the day 😂 (my poor arms)

And yes first for me.

What about you? X

boomboo · 23/07/2018 22:07

DS was born on the 8th of May. He is our second baby and it is going so quick at the moment

3girlmama · 24/07/2018 07:20

@totallycluelessmama this is our third little girl. We are now the house of pink! 😂
@boomboo congratulations! Yes it's whizzing past! Where have the newborn babies we had gone? I see a newborn now and realise just how much my DD has grown! X

Me! DS was born on 14th May at 13:13 :)

3girlmama · 28/07/2018 21:44

Congratulations @Xjo1992x
Same birthday as my DD 🤗 she was born at 1025. Xx

Anyone's LO having a change of their routine? DD has got herself into a lovely bedtime routine in the evenings and a nap routine in the day but suddenly the last few days this has changed and she's got really unsettled 🤔

Hi another one here!

Little boy born 6th May - he is getting so big already! X

3girlmama · 02/08/2018 19:39

Hi emerald81!
Congratulations!
Tell me about it!, I have no idea how the time has flown so fast and where my diddy little new born has gone!

Thanks @3girlmama! Congratulations to you too! It's so reassuring to see their little chubby cheeks and know that they are putting on weight isn't it? He has outgrown his Moses basket so we have moved him into his big cot during the day for his naps and he is loving stretching out in it! I haven't noticed any change to his routine as yet but aware of the dreaded 4 month sleep regression so hoping he manages to swerve that!

3girlmama · 03/08/2018 14:48

Ah I wonder if she's doing that a bit early!? X

I can jump on this thread, I had a little boy on 15th May. I agree that time is going too fast!

I'm currently feeling pressure to figure out what I'm doing with work / childcare etc but I just can't face it, I just want to stay put in the baby bubble.

3girlmama · 06/08/2018 13:52

Hi @InRainbows
Congratulations!!!
Yes it's horrible thinking about work. How long have you taken off? One day it's thinking about starting maternity leave and excited for the birth then all of A sudden the baby is growing up and work beckons! X

@InRainbows congratulations!
I know exactly what you mean - I have actually used the same wording (being in a bubble) to describe how I feel. My job involves some crazy hours so it has been nice to take a step back and enjoy bonding with my baby.
I have been stressing myself out about going back to work. I can't bear the thought of leaving him! I booked 6 months off but although we really can't afford it we have decided that I am going to have to extend it to 12 months. I don't have any family I can rely on to look after him so once you factor in childcare costs when I do go back I am going to be paying out basically half my wages and no doubt be an emotional wreck every time I leave him. It's just rubbish isn't it? Sad

emerald1981 · 09/08/2018 23:23

@3girlmama has the sleep cycle improved at all? X

3girlmama · 10/08/2018 04:13

Hi @emerald1981
As of tonight, DD has gone from 7.30pm-0330!!! I've just fed her and have expressed the remainder of the milk she didn't drink and I'm now about to go back to bed. I feel I have had a decent sleep!
Last night was terrible. She couldn't settle, screaming like in pain. Then yesterday she had a poo explosion twice (coming out of the sides of her nappy and out of the collar of her outfit!) and since then she's been happy and chatty and chilled out again. She hadn't poo'd for 24hr which doesn't seem a long time but usually she poos every feed (approximately every 2hr) so she was backed up I think. Prior to that I have no idea why she was being fussy with sleeping 🤔 I just hope this routine is back again!
Vaccinations today so probably not 😬
I also have a stinking cold 🤧

How are you doing?

Regards to work, being in a bubble is a very good description! Long live the bubble!!!

@3girlmama glad to hear that you had a decent bit of sleep! It makes all the difference doesn't it? From what you describe with the fussiness and poo explosion it sounds really similar to when my little one was suffering with wind. We put him on infancol and it really helped. It might have just been a one off in your case though. Good luck with the vaccinations today. Is this the second lot for you? DS got the temp with the first lot but was fine with the second ones. He is due his third lot at the end of the month and they are similar to the first so expecting the temp again which is always a worry.

So far so good here. He was bit unsettled last night. I think it might be teething pains. Lots of dribble and fist chewing going on. He settled down after used some teething gel on his little gums! He is a better mood today. Lots of smiles this morning and he has just gone down for a nap.

Indeed long live the bubble! Smile

emerald1981 · 10/08/2018 10:16

@3girlmama also hope your cold goes away and you feel better soon x

3girlmama · 10/08/2018 12:26

We've put her back on colief and she's rooting and burping well again now thank goodness
She's just had her vaccines. Cried but only 1 inj and one syrup this time so I popped her in my boob asap and she nodded off. Happily kicking about now at my mums whilst we have lunch. Xxx

It seems so odd to be even mentioning teething yet doesn't it! They're developing so quickly

I used ashton and parsons teething powders for my other DDs teething so I'll use that for DD3 if needed. What, if anything, are you using ? X
