Since my son turned 4 months old my hair has been falling out in crazy amounts!! It’s litetally everywhere!!! Spoke to the HV today about it as my hair got everywhere even when there getting my son weighed. She told me it’s completely normal. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yep! Mine started falling out about 6-8 weeks ago and is just slowing down slightly now (DS is 5 months). It will stop eventually, I had it last time too.

after I had my son a load of my hair fell out... actually had bald patch on one side of my head. Was really worried but it does seem like it was just one of those random pregnancy things, as it grew back after a few months.

Yes! 4 month old ds here and my hair is falling out like crazy! It keeps blocking the shower drain!

RoryDrinkUp · 24/05/2018 20:57

Yes it came out by the handful, was awful! Got to 6/7 months and it calmed down and then went back to normal.

Now at 11 months I've basically got a fringe with all the baby hair that's regrown and it looks ridiculous!

Both pregnancies I have lost so much hair after. I’m pregnant with number 3 and the hair loss is the bit I dread most!

So glad it’s not just me! I just had a shower and literally pulled a handful of hair out! Was freaking out a little but by the sounds of things it will stop!! It’s driving my DP mad my hair is every where 🙈

Some loss is normal. The hair stops falling during pregnancy so when you’re no longer pregnant it begins again and jeez, it comes out in clumps!

If it carries on get your iron levels checked. I lost 2l of blood with ds1 and looking back I was anaemic from then on and my hair fell for almost two years. It’s only now I’m on iron tablets it’s coming back in.

Get iron level checked before you supplement - too much is not good for you.

Work a check of your thyroid too.

I might do just for peace of mind.

I'm 10 Months in and have funny short bits where it's started growing back!! May also be worth getting your thyroid levels tested as mine fell out in handfuls because my levels dropped a lot...
