Hi

We swapped our sons milk to sma pro anti reflux milk yesterday...

We’ve found with it being thicker in consistency it’s taking about an hour for him
To Finish the bottle. We’ve been using the times tippee variflow teats but have bought a couple of the fast flow to try too.

Is it a matter of him adjusting to the consistency? I mean I’m happier he’s not projectile sick anymore just wondered if anyone else had any tips?

Thankyou

Xx

Maybe put him on the next teet up? It is an adjustment for him to get used to the consistency but my daughter got frustrated before that and gave up feeding after half a bottle. Had to give her stage 2 teets at 6 weeks at HVs advice x

yeah we’ve got variflow and fast flow. It’s so thick isn’t it.

Yeh he gets bored and tired before he finishes a bottle which is annoying but as long as he’s gaining xx

I never used the reflux milk to be honest. My daughter has cows milk protein allergy too so I’ve always used prescription milk with a thickener but that’s not great either.

My HV said that if the flow is still to slow you can make it bigger yourself if you need to. Reflux babies are hard work aren’t they? X
