What colour hat are you all wearing tomorrow mine is green and orange the colours my jockey is wearing

Wilkie · 13/04/2007 21:48

Laughalot - worried about you my lovely

LadyTophamHatt · 13/04/2007 21:49

yikes....I don't do hugs.

God, i'm a cold hearted witch in RL, honestly I find it really hard to hug someone without it looking/feeling like I'm recoiling in horror.

laughalot · 13/04/2007 21:50

It might be the bottle of wine iv consumed

Wilkie · 13/04/2007 21:51

Oh no LTH > I am a proper huggy kissey kind of girl

LadyTophamHatt · 13/04/2007 21:55

obviously I;d sit and cuddle george all day if he'd let me, butthe little sod likes to be flat out and only wants to be cuddle when he feels like it.

Here a horrible admission, I rarely cuddle the older ds's...can't rember when I last did actaully.
I never initiate a cuddle from Dh either.

Even if I;m upset and crying I don't like ot be hugged.

God...thats shite, isn't it!??

Wilkie · 13/04/2007 21:57

No - if you don't like hugs then you can't make yourself like them.

Me - I love them - love being close to someone, it's a real comfort thing. Hug my friends, family and DH. Jacob likes a hug on occasions but is like George and prefers to be on his back under his play gym or in his chair.

Would rather have a hug with DH than sex sometimes...

Dragonhart · 13/04/2007 22:07

I love hugs too. Have to admit that as L is older now and I cant force him, I now blackmail him into hugging me. So when I go to get him out of his cot in the morning, I demand a hug before lifting him out. Change his nappy and to get down he has to give me a hug...see the pattern!?

See I am hard on the outside with a soft gooey inside.

Nemo2007 · 13/04/2007 22:08

OMG has anyone seen my brain cells??? Just taken me 40mins to place bloody bets on the national. Even then I have done them wrong and done to win instead of each way

Nemo2007 · 13/04/2007 22:09

I am not big on hugs apart from the kids but then they are little

Dragonhart · 13/04/2007 23:06

RGee · 14/04/2007 08:16

Morning all. Just getting ready for Aintree. Found my twee-est hat just for LTH - big straw number with daisies in. Hope you can all see over it. PMSL at all your MN chat from last night, and PCF loved the 'god' reference. Clever J for rolling over - clapclapclapclap. And a big (the sun is shining, another full night's sleep etc) with a special big squeeze for LTH and Nemo.

Off to pur-chase the quality read, The Sun, for today's top tips. Racing Post too complicated for me. Nemo, let's hope your horse wins! DH has another race this morning (7km bizarre distance). There is a race each year (think in Wales) where people run against a horse!

Worked out what SWMNBN means now thanks to mentions of routine. Durrr!!! I'll second Lizz's nappy brain. Yes, I am a woman of routine, packed with lurve (can you feel it?) so move myself from 4 to 3.

See you later! Have agood morning.

RGee · 14/04/2007 08:16

DH is not a horse by the way.....

laughalot · 14/04/2007 08:45

Rgee we know you are married to a horse really............

I forgot who is freddies mum but there is a horse running at aintree today called freddie.

Eah sorry to be cheeky but I love that top that hattie has on the multicoloured blouse were is it from ?

Good luck in the national may the best woman win .

Got my green and orange hat on my green dress and my fingers and toes are painted green and orange. Gosh can you picty=ure that.

Wilkie · 14/04/2007 09:08

Morning

Got my purple helmet on Laughalot

Jacob woke up at an ungodly hour of 5.45am smiling and grinning at me. Bless him - not!!! Feel knackered and it is only 9am.

Meant to say, picked up my shiney new car yesterday (yey) so we are going cruising today - I am going to be Jacob's bitch

Anyway, good luck to those who are playing the national - hope your husband has a good Jockey Rgee

The cat pissed on the bedroom floor again this morning but I daren't tell DH cos he really will get rid of her

Big Hug to LTH and Nemo xxxxx

2Happy · 14/04/2007 09:59

PMSROFLMAO at not putting lo on floor to avoid being trodden on by God!!

That's made my morning!

2Happy · 14/04/2007 10:04

Wilkie, about the cat - dh says it could be behavioural, in which case you can buy Feliway - a pheromone (?sp) which discourages them (you can get sprays, or plug-ins). Or it could be cystitis, or diabetes - in which case you can drop a urine specimen into the vets (if it uses a litter tray you can get non-absorbant crystals from the vets for this). And I heard citrus fruits discourage them - like a bowl of lemon/orange peel where it keeps peeing, but dh (being a scientist ) thinks that's bollocks!

HTH

Wilkie · 14/04/2007 10:06

Come on then - over the last however many months this thread has been going (including ante-natal). What has been the moment/s or person that made you PMSLROFLLOL??

We'll have a mini-oscar ceremony...

I must say that I did love the 2happy story but I can recall a incident with someone cant remember who and all I can remember was laughing loads at the time who had the bloody mouse in the house ?

ellieandhattie · 14/04/2007 11:50

LTH had the mouse in the house

laughalot · 14/04/2007 13:37

eah pink and blue your jockey

Looks like I might be off to asda thanks

RGee · 14/04/2007 13:40

I had the mouse in the house which ran up my pj bottoms and I had to get them off v quickly and throw them out of the front door. Thankfully a bus was not passing at the time of fanjo on display. Strange, but it's funny looking back.

EAH - is it your birthday today? If so, many happy returns!!!!!

Right, off to plait DH's mane. Be back to claim my Idle Talk winnings later

theUrbanDryad · 14/04/2007 14:21

so - who won on the Grand National? my horse was Thisthatandtother, not sure if anyone put it on the list.
