Thought it was about time we started a new thread and this seemed like a suitable time. I am now going to try to link the old one to this one.

If it helps it should be Hib & MenC @ 12m and MMR @13m. We get our appointments through automatically though.

DebitheScot · 17/05/2007 09:13

our appointments come through automatically too. Ds also got an extra one just before 12 months. Can't remember what it was but think it was a new one. He's still to get the menC and Hib one and the mmr.

He's also suddenly gone from staggering 2 or 3 steps at the weekend to walking across whole rooms yesterday.

had a jab today, was Hib and MenC, they squeezed me in as baby due when they had next free appoint! i love my doctors

BexieID · 23/05/2007 14:25

We get our appointments through automatically. Tom had his MMR one last tues with the last of the Pneumo ones. He screamed the place down, bless! He had a very high temp sunday afternoon/eve so I took him to the docs monday. The doc said it was most likely a delayed reaction from the jab. Tom is ok now, except for a snuffly nose!

Nip · 24/05/2007 14:04

Glad you said about the temperature etc Bexie - my DS had the Pneumo one and was really grumpy, hot etc too.

Havent had the appointment for the MMR yet, i guess it'll be here soon.

SlightlyMadSlug · 28/05/2007 23:01

Its all gone quite said rhubarb

Too quiet said custard

didle-di-der diddle-di-der der der der der deeer.

Actually DD3 still isn't walking. DP found it funny to laugh at her when we asked her to 'walk' the other day and instead she squatted. Not she thinks its funny to squat and sit when commanded to walk. And I know that makes her sound like a dog but Ponka will vouch for me when I promise she is a cute little human being!!!

SlightlyMadSlug · 01/06/2007 20:54

Yooo Hooo

Anyone there?

I know you are all lurking - I can see you.....

SlightlyMadSlug · 02/06/2007 22:23

CoooooEeeeee

SlightlyMadSlug · 03/06/2007 18:14

HI girls - want to know someone who got a BFP this morning?

DebitheScot · 03/06/2007 20:33

hellooooo I'm here. Have been away in Wales all week and just about survived without interent access.

Did you really get a BFP (I had to look it up in the acronym list) this morning slug? Or was that a ploy to get us all to rush back??
I'm guessing you're not making it up. Congratulations (assuming it's good news, is it?).

OP posts:
DebitheScot · 03/06/2007 20:34

just read what you wrote again and I'm just assuming its you that got a bfp. Could be someone else i guess. Is it you?

OP posts:
WriggleJiggle · 05/06/2007 19:11

Congratulations!

Anyone elses child doing that 'I'll do as I damm well please and I'll scream if you try to stop me' phase?

Nursery keep telling me how confident dd is with the big children. I smile at them and pretend to appreciate the comments, when in reality I know that it means she's a tiny bully who doesn't care what size her opponents are.

My god. Who unleashed the monster? What have I created?

SlightlyMadSlug · 05/06/2007 21:39

......

Twas harveysaunt (apprarently) that got the BFP. I just wondered if anyone was still around .I am most definately not pregnant!!!

SlightlyMadSlug · 05/06/2007 21:42

Oh but DD3 can walk across the lounge now. She did it the other day and I didn't even notice until after she'd done it - and was left thinking "hang on a minute - she just walked there, she didn't crawl".

Am I the only one not getting quite so hyperactive at these milestones 'second' time around?

Oh and when DD3 objects to get not getting the attention she wants her response is to go and chew on the settee which she knows she is not allowed to do. PONKA - having said that will you please confirm that I do not have a baby dog again!!!

DebitheScot · 07/06/2007 13:39

Ah so it was just a ploy to get us to come back! Didn't really work though.

Anyone else having sleep problems at the moment with their babies? (are they still babies?) Cameron has woken up moaning nearly every night for the past week or so. And on some of those nights he's been crying for ages. Last night it was from midnight till about 2am. If dh or I went in to him he stopped almost as soon as we touched him and cried again when we left the room. I don't think there was actually anything really wrong with him so its hard to know what the best thing to do is. We pretty much ignored him but went into his room every now and again so he knew we were still here but didn't pick him up or anything.

Hi everyone
I haven't checked in on Mumsnet for a almost a year I think but I still recognise a lot of names from the pre-natal thread. Hope you are all well.

We're doing fine - I agree the first year has flown by (much quicker than it seemed with DD1), and I'm afraid I too am guilty of the not being quite so excited about the milestones thing. In fact with the walking I was positively distressed! Caroline walked at 10 months and I just wasn't ready - I wondered if I should just keep tripping her up and put her off for a while (not really obviously!)!! Still out in the US, the current return to the UK date is Sept '08, but since we were originally supposed to come home in Sept '04, whi knows what will happen.

Caroline is generally a good natured little thing, though with a fierce will. She just finally got over a never ending ear infection that took 4 different anti-biotics to clear, and as a result has started chatting away. She's saying and copying a lot of things and I'd forgotten how desperately cute all that is . She also had to have a little surgery around her birthday to open up a blocked tear duct - bit nerve racking as she had to have a general anaesthetic, but it all went very straightforwardly and all is well now. I think she's had her fill of doctors for a while now though!

Anyway been rambling on long enough, just wanted to check in.

Ponka · 08/06/2007 22:19

Oh my god, Mrs. Evs. Nice to hear from you. Welcome back to one of the slowest post natal groups on MN. Are you going to stick around?

Erm, I can definately confirm that SMS does not have a baby dog. Just a little baby slug.

DS is a bit restless on and off. We had one horrid night a few weeks ago (probably his teeth) where he was up most of the night and DH actually ended up taking him for a drive to calm him down. We do try to get him to settle himself if he can but if he cries for a while, we do go into him (not that it seems to do much good).

It's really hard keeping an eye on him at the moment. He just wants to climb everything. The latest thing is an absolute determination to stand on the dining room chairs. From there, he has tried to climb on and stand on the table. If I didn't catch him in time, I think that's where he'd end up. He just has no concept of danger at all. DS1 was always (and still is) so much more cautious so it's all a bit new to me.

Anyway, I've got an important deadline for mid - July so I might not be around very much from now until then. If you do see me on here, please remind me to get off the computer and get on with it! Ta!

Take Care, everyone.

DebitheScot · 20/06/2007 09:26

Welcome back MrsEvs, ponka is right, this is the slowest thread ever.
Not much new to report here. Just new words being said every day and trying to run everywhere. Sometimes he discovers a new word and says it lots but sometimes he says it once and then we don't here it again.
The sleeping had been back to normal again (in fact even better as he's dropped the afternoon nap so was sleeping for ages at night) but then last night he had a half hour cry at 3am for no apparant reason.

Any of you have any interesting plans for the summer? We're going to Portugal for 2 wks with the in-laws which should be really good. Hopefully the heat and sun won't cause any big problems with ds.

Where is my period?????

OP posts:
DebitheScot · 28/06/2007 20:49

still not here (5 days late) but had a negative pregnancy test. Mmmm strange.

OP posts:
pepperrabbit · 30/06/2007 11:37

Hello there, I'm back with a new improved internet connection that actually lets me look at websites! The novelty!
DS2 still can't walk - is he the only one?? I'm not desperate, just curious really, and it's quite tedious with it being so wet that he gets soaked crawling in the garden - walking would be much better methinks. He can just about stand up on his own, holds his arms out at ridiculous balancing angles and grins inanely before sliding to the floor! He was also very very poorly a couple of weeks back and was hospitalised on a drip for a couple of days with what turned out to be pneumonia. Exactly a week after his MMR and last pneumoccocal jab, hmmmm. Apparently nothing to with it but it seems a huge coincidence. And I've no idea what it will have done to his immunity?
Anyway he's fully recovered now and is eating us out of house and home! He will literally eat anything and it's such a relief as DS1 is the world's pickiest eater and you begin to wonder if it's something you've done. Clearly not.
Anysign of your AF DebitheScot??
I'm trying to decide whether to throw away the pills and try for No 3, but we're about to have some building work done and I'd want that to be over beofre having a newborn, but I'm not getting any younger. Can you imagine it in years to come "why haven't we got another another brother/sister Mummy?"
"Well, we had a new kitchen instead, and then it was too late....."
Any thoughts?

DebitheScot · 02/07/2007 12:03

Af finally decided to make an appearance. A whole week late (and I'm 110% sure of the dates coz had last one when on holiday at half term) which is very odd. I've never been more than about 5 minutes late before.
Has made me sure that I deffinately want another one although I think we'll wait another few months so don't have to leave work half way through a school year again.

OP posts:
pepperrabbit · 09/07/2007 21:11

Yes, I keep thinking I'll plan the next one like that and then I think suppose it takes me months to conceive??
Jolly quiet in here isn't it!

DebitheScot · 10/07/2007 12:39

Ah so there is still life out there! Hello pepperrabbit, I thought everyone had gone and left me

OP posts:
SlightlyMadSpider · 10/07/2007 21:21

I am still here.....where is N&T&E...there must be news there if nothing else...

Debbie - has your AF returned from her summer holiday yet?
