Acorn mine ended up with me having a gap between my adult teeth too, until it was removed when my braces were fitted. I appreciate I'm probably unusual.

savagehk · 06/08/2017 13:26

Another thing re TT, I have heard it said that mw used to check and cut immediately, if that's true perhaps most babies with them went unrecorded so paediatricion wouldn't have known?

newbieho · 06/08/2017 14:12

If my boy TT had not been snipped I would have stopped bf. The pain caused by his chomping gums was unbearable.

I believe he inherited lip tie and tt from me and will most likely need braces at some point. I've got a gap between front teeth which I've got used to by now. My mum stopped bf quite quickly but tt treatment was not heard of once I was a kid.

Been swimming.... apparently it was hard work!

What a cutie @1004Rise and what a great article! Especially relate to the bit where I ask DH to put the dishes away and he ignores the washing overflowing in the laundry basket!

teainbed · 06/08/2017 20:01

So cute @1004Rise ! Was it enjoyable?

OP posts:
1004Rise · 06/08/2017 20:44

@teainbed yes, lots of wide eyes taking it all in. It's a bit of a juggling act getting both me and her changed and stuff in a locker but I guess that's just practice. She slept for most of the afternoon so lots of processing I think!

@vanilla8 I know I was reading it going why do I not just clear the table... no wonder everything takes me so long Hmm

BouncingBlueberry · 06/08/2017 20:44

@1004Rise where did you get that lovely baby towel from? I now have towel envy...

1004Rise · 06/08/2017 21:02

@BouncingBlueberry Sainsbury's it's a hungry caterpillar one but they were on the sale rail (as is most baby stuff I buy - easier to justify!) so not sure if they're still current stock Confused

Badgerbird · 07/08/2017 04:10

Oh bless her rise!! Yes so much to take in :) was it warm enough?

Baby Badger went to her first festival today in a country pub garden Smile She just slept for 5.5 hours in a row which is amazing for us!!jabs in the morning so tomorrow night could be a completely different story Confused

jennymac31 · 07/08/2017 08:01

Morning ladies

Hope you're all well.

Having a duvet day today. Weather is pants and my head is killing from being woken up through the night for nate's feeds. Definitely think he's going through a growth spurt as he keeps waking up screaming. As soon as I feed him he's wolving it down as though he hasn't eaten in days!
Dd is also feeling a little under the weather since coming back from St Ives last Wednesday. I took her into nursery on Thursday and she seemed fine but over the weekend she's seemed a bit out of sorts. So we're staying at home. Dh is working a late shift so doesn't start until midday but I know that he's gonna be miffed that he has to go in today as we're gonna be home today.

The wedding in St Ives was wonderful and the weather was perfect. Not sure I'll be going back there until nate is a bit older, as it was so busy and a bit stressful with a newborn & toddler. If we do go back we'll definitely stay at treganna castle again as the hotel and grounds were beautiful.

jennymac31 · 07/08/2017 08:27

Here's a picture of the day ahead for me. A slightly tired toddler and an energetic newborn.

p51642 · 07/08/2017 08:50

hello, new to this thread:) my baby girl was born 25.5.17 I've been looking for a thread with chats like this! just reading through the past few comments my DD had/has tongue tie she first got it cut at 7 weeks my nipples were a mess by then and so painful, but it healed back together so they really cut it at 10w1d she can now stick her tongue out all the way and Bf feels much easier :)

teainbed · 07/08/2017 08:51

Aww @jennymac31 what gorgeous wee ones you have! Glad the wedding went ok.

1004Rise · 07/08/2017 08:58

@jennymac31 wow baby Nate looks so grown up in that picture. Sounds like a duvet day is an ideal plan.

@Badgerbird yes, after advice on here we got her a splash about wrap and nappy which helped keep her warm in the pool (and made her a bit floaty and less slippery) and the changing rooms were nice and warm so we didn't freeze while I was getting her ready.

We got our first proper laugh in the bath last night and amazingly DH caught it on video, had me in hysterics she was so funny!

teainbed · 07/08/2017 10:57

Might be time for a new round of nursing bras, they wear so quickly! Anyone bought anything nice recently?

OP posts:
1004Rise · 07/08/2017 12:00

@teainbed I got some good ones from Figleaves, lots of styles and lots of sizes.

Hi @p51642 Grin

savagehk · 07/08/2017 12:02

@teainbed Molke finally has its webstore up and running :D
They just don't really work under most of my clothes unfortunately....

vanilla8 · 07/08/2017 12:30

@teainbed I went to bravissimo and got measured last week. I picked up a panache Sophie nursing bra which is really nice. No way I would have thought I was. 32H though! Been wearing 38E!

p51642 · 07/08/2017 13:23

h&m has a good selection! I need to go get some tshirt n.bras, mine are from mothercare 2 for £30 :)

p51642 · 07/08/2017 13:24

hello @1004rise :D

teainbed · 07/08/2017 13:40

Thanks will get looking!

Welcome @p51642 Smile

1004Rise · 07/08/2017 15:41

@vanilla8 I think one of the ones I got is a panache Sophie, really comfortable!!

CoxsOrangePippin · 07/08/2017 15:43

tea cake do nice ones, I got mine via figleaves. Washing them at 90 because of the thrush is going to knacker them quickly though Shock

savagehk · 07/08/2017 18:38

Cox must it be 90? I thought 60 killed most things.
