Does cluster feeding stop if you move to expressed bottles or formula?

Nope, not in my experience.
I had never experienced cluster feeding until my third dc, and it totally threw me! He would feed all night, it went on for several weeks. He did have a tongue tie and silent reflux which can be linked with clustering, but the bf consultant I saw basically said it is him putting in his order for tomorrow and to just ride it out. We did resort to a few top ups of formula, but tbh he would have an ounce and waste the rest. Several times a night! It was just as much hassle to FF.
After I while I began to get very sore from the constant feeding so ff gave me a rest from that, but I don't think he actually fed any more consistently until we resolved his reflux/TT issue.
