R is like a hawk every time anyone eats, feel a bit guilty!

OrianaBanana · 23/04/2017 11:22

I should be cooking a roast lamb lunch, but instead I'm hiding in a coffee shop with a sleeping baby and a latte. But your posts are making me hungry Upyourdaisy so I might shuffle home and get started...

She's just like her mum for food Grin

lilydaisyrose · 23/04/2017 15:41

I am so lost! My baby (girl) was born on 21/12/16 and I was active on the antenatal threads - am I in the right place? I don't have FB. What are all the food pics about?

DD2 has beautifully fitted into our family and we love her to pieces. She was 4 months old on Friday. She is breastfeeding brilliantly but still a wee dot at 11 lbs & something. Despite that, she is really strong and almost sitting up. We are having a ball on maternity leave together. I'm not back until January and we are just loving our time together. Life is very very busy with two older ones!

Testyisanicerword · 23/04/2017 16:45

Hi lilydaisy the food pictures are an extension of a good obsession/porn discussed on fb.

Glad you're getting on well. My 4mnth is still 11lb something too.

Daisy PM's you.

Upyourdaisy · 23/04/2017 19:07

I remember you lilydaisy but thought you had also joined fb as the old thread completely died 😧
I was on fb and there was a bit of an obsession with all things food Blush
I had to leave (fb) and a few of the ladies came back over to mn to keep in touch (which I love them dearly for!!) the fb group is amazing though and they're all lovely.

Glad to hear your lo is doing well! I bet she's dinky, what size clothes is she in?

Bella1985 · 24/04/2017 13:51

Hi all! I never joined the facebook group and was pretty quiet on the December thread - expected babyBella to be a january baby but DS arrived on the 27th December afterall! I've missed keeping up with you all so would love to join please! It's also nice to see this thread pop up again! As a fist timer Mumsnet has been my lifeline during the long night time feeds! Smile

Testyisanicerword · 24/04/2017 22:45

I can't remember who it was you need to pm. Daisy? Who was it??

It's quiet on here. Perhaps we need a round up of babies and whinged about sleep.......

I'll start, Phoebe who is 4.5 mnths sleeps for 30mins 6 times a day, goes to bed at 7 and is usually awake at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6:30.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Bella1985 · 25/04/2017 08:57

Oh wow daisy that sounds exhausting! Has she always slept like that or is it a recent development?

DS is 4 months old tomorrow and goes to sleep at 9pm and wakes once at around 3- 4am, feeds and vomits (reflux) for an hour, sometimes an hour and a half to 2 hours, sleeps for another hour then up for the day. Until this week. The last 2 nights he's woken around 12-2am for a feed, again at 3.30 and up for the day at 5.30! I think this must be the start of his next wonder week...Confused

He has approx 3 naps a day, refuses to sleep in his crib during the day, only in my arms, or in car seat or pushchair if we're out and about. I haven't been very successful in establishing a routine haven't tried very hard to be honest

Upyourdaisy · 25/04/2017 13:45

It's kitkat that you pm if you want to join fb.
Not me Bella dd4 is actually a really good sleeper, she's only waking once at night, has a bottle then is back to sleep.
I'm not bragging though testy, she doesn't sleep a lot during the day, just cat naps 😒

Bella1985 · 25/04/2017 17:19

Gah tiredness is affecting my attention to detail - testy has the tiring sleep routine! I'm not going to cope very well with this new routine...

KitKat1985 · 25/04/2017 20:00

DD is up about 3 times a night on average. She's got a cold right now so she'll probably be worse today.

Feeling very down and stressed tonight as the palliative care team think my Dad only has a few days left with us now. Sad

OrianaBanana · 25/04/2017 20:25

I'm so sorry kitkat. I hope they can be as peaceful and serene as possible. Flowers

DD is very bad at a) going to sleep and b) staying asleep. We once got a three hour stretch out of her but that's not usual.

Testyisanicerword · 25/04/2017 21:34

Oh KitKat, I'm sorry. How sad. Has he been ill for long?

It's exhausting. I can't see an end at the moment. DS used to sleep for hours in the day. Not good in the night till 2yo but at least he napped. She's started to hate the stretchy wrap too now so naps for 30mins on me or in the buggy.

Teeth anyone? P has been teethering horrifically the last few days
She's so pink cheeked and moany.

Bella1985 · 25/04/2017 21:41

Oh kitkat sorry to hear that. Flowers

DS has his 16 week injections tomorrow - not looking forward to tomorrow night. How were your babies after the 16 week jabs?

Bella1985 · 25/04/2017 21:45

And yes to teething too. He's been drooling for 6 weeks or so, but he's now rubbing his gums with his fingers (different action to his feeding cues) and rosy cheeks. No sign of a tooth yet though.

OrianaBanana · 26/04/2017 12:30

DD was actually ok after her 16 week injections Bella. She got a bit hot but nothing too bad and we only actually gave two doses of Calpol. No effect on her sleeping as far as we can tell, she only naps for 30 minutes at a time now but that pre-dated the jabs.

duxb · 26/04/2017 16:43

How do I join the fb group?

Ruby is 5 months on Friday. Where on earth has that gone?

Daytime naps are in my arms, car seat or pushchair 90% of the time. On occasion I can get her down in her sleepyhead. Hopefully when she is in her own room, daytime naps will be easier. She goes down between 9 and 10pm at night and doesn't tend to wake up until 6.30/7. Occasionally wakes for a 3am feed.

But she's wonderful and gorgeous. The best thing I've ever done.

Bella1985 · 27/04/2017 10:25

Oh I do hate having a poorly baby. DS had his jabs yesterday and same as with the 8 week jabs, he's got a bad tummy. He's been grunting and groaning for hours on end, culminating in a big cry (with screaming and lots of tears) only relieved by a good poo. But after a couple of hours of a more settled baby, we're back at the start again. Don't know how many rounds of this we'll need to get through before it's passed but it's so distressing when he's screaming in pain.

On a brighter side, he's 4 months old today and such a gorgeous baby he's the best thing I've ever done!

Testyisanicerword · 27/04/2017 14:25

Oh Bella we're in the same boat, very grizzly, screamy baby here after her jabs yesterday 😭😭 I hate it. She's teething like mad so eating her fist and screaming. Sofa pm for us!

Dubzx message KitKat as she is admin on fb.

KitKat hows your dad?

Upyourdaisy · 27/04/2017 19:18

Bella when Rome had her 16 week vacs she was awful. None of my others have had the men b as dd3 just missed it when she was born just over 2 years ago. Hope your lo is better soon.

Kit Kat I'm sorry to hear about your dad, I've seen some very lovely pictures of him and both of your dd's on fb.

Dd3 has developed a habit of telling me she needs her belly rubbed to fall asleep, tonight she's declared different parts of her body need this attention, including her nipples!!!! 😆

Bella1985 · 28/04/2017 09:33

Hope your little one is better testy. DS is still in pain. Last night was awful, he screamed on and off for 3 hours. He eventually tired himself out by 12.45 and managed to sleep for 2.5 hours before having a feed and another 2.5hour sleep. He's been screaming this morning too and only managed a small poo so I don't think we're over it yet.

Hope you're ok kitkat

upyourdaisy Grin at your dd3!

Testyisanicerword · 01/05/2017 07:47

Thanks bella" we ended up in hospital with DS in the end as his chest was unstable but he's bouncing now!

Hows everyone's long weekend? I'm hiding upstairs for my 'lie in'....

HannahJH · 01/05/2017 09:52

I wish I had a memory and could remember who everyone is on here from the FB page!!

So sorry to hear about your dad, as has already been said I hope it's as peaceful for you all as possible.

Upyourdaisy how are you guys all doing?

Looking forward to seeing some of you on fb that are joining xx
