We have a perfect prep, I only really use it during the night or if in a rush but it's pretty straight forward and SO quick!

How many oz is your little one on November?

Ds takes between 2 and 4 oz each feed, though sometimes he will take 2 wait half hour or an hour then have the other two. Some days all I seem to do is feed him! He's a right grazer!

DD2 has started cluster feeding. DD1 goes to bed at 8pm. DD2 cluster feeds 8pm until 1am. They are tag teaming me! DD2 then sleeps for a good couple of hours at a time but only in my bed so I have to sleep in my dressing down so that I can take all the loose covers off my bed. She's just so intoxicating though! I'm just happy for big, soft boobies. So long concrete tits!

Afreshstartplease · 27/10/2016 08:28

My boob's no longer hurt at all and have shrank back to pre pregnancy size!

I got tag teamed this morning. Ds was up being fed changed etc between 5-6am, 610 dd appeared in my bedroom! So I've now been up since 5.

I think I slept about 11.30-2 and then 3-5 so roughly 4.5 hours. I think it'd be good to get atleast one early night per week so going to bed around 8/9. I might try this tonight.

Afresh I had a perfect prep machine when I had Dd - absolutely saved my sanity in the middle of the night!! Those things are a god send if you're formula feeding!
DS has for some reason decided he does not like my left boob, and feeding from that side is a huge struggle Sad he gets really angry at it, pops on and off so takes in loads of air and gives himself terrible wind, which then makes it even harder to latch him to that side! I'm getting to the point where I'm tempted to just let him feed from the right and pump the left until he's a little bit bigger and has got the hang of breastfeeding a bit more Confused

Afreshstartplease · 27/10/2016 08:38

The perfect prep was out when I had my dd but I didn't think it was worth the money at the time.

I got this one reduced to £60, I decided with 4 DC to manage I needed to make life as easy as possible for me!

He sounds a lot like yours Fresh, mostly 2 to 4 oz, 2 to 3.5 hourly depending on his mood :)

MyBreadIsEggy · 27/10/2016 16:28

So I have a really really embarrassing question......and will totally understand if no one wants to shed any light on my predicament: reference pubes Blush

Figgygal · 27/10/2016 16:39

I'm so dim and only just realised most people have moved here!!

Ds had his tongue tie snipped this morning was much quicker than I feared it may be he's on a bit of a feeding strike today though seemingly wonder if it's linked. He's 2 weeks old tomorrow and still sleeping endlessly he's being weighed again tomorrow so will mention again hopefully he will be back to birth weigh and can be discharged by mw.

So bored not driving!!

Going to read thread now

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 27/10/2016 18:32

Eggy, what is the question?

MyBreadIsEggy · 27/10/2016 20:16

November Blush
I took care of my "pube admin" a few days before DS was born, and I think the regrowth is seriously irritating my fanjo Confused I actually got DH to do a fanjo inspection, and he says it all looks normal, and not irritated or anything, so I think this unbearable itch around the top and bikini line, must be down to itchy pubage Blush just wondering if anyone else has the same thing going on or if I do actually need to mention it to the midwife tomorrow! I've gone a whole 22 years of my life without getting thrush or any kind of itch-inducing infection, so could definitely do without one now!!!!

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 27/10/2016 20:47

Hmm...I had to do that before as well, it did itch and get very sore. Unless it's actually internal or near there, then it's probably not thrush.

MyBreadIsEggy · 27/10/2016 21:56

November no, it's nowhere near the business end Blush just around the top - I think having a Mum nappy maternity pad rubbing against it all the time is making the itching feel worse than it actually is!

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 27/10/2016 22:00

Eggy I've had the same, had a wax about 3 days prior to prep the area. I think the itching is regrowth, combined with scar healing and also where I have a bit of an overhang so the area is creased and effectively gets (for want of a better phrase) a bit sweaty. Gosh that sounds lovely doesn't it?!

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 28/10/2016 09:45

I can't help I'm afraid. I went au naturale. DH saw me in the bath last Monday night and made me promise to trim before labour Grin I couldn't see/reach so he said he'd do it the following evening. Unfortunately I went into labour in between! I don't know how the poor midwife managed to see enough to stitch me up Blush

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 28/10/2016 10:17

I'm surprised anyone can see enough to trim it at all ;)

I think it sounds like regrowth itch, eggy. I had Pupps rash as well, and all I could do was use olive oil after a shower. You could take Piriton as well.

It goes in about three days but is awful while it lasts. You could try changing your pad brand as well, in case you might be using scented or something that might be aggravating?

MyBreadIsEggy · 28/10/2016 11:43

SUCcess!!!
Was umming and aahing over whether to trim again and risk itchier regrowth again, or just stick it out until it gets past the itchy stage....trimming won. I did it, and haven't felt an itch since Grin

Afreshstartplease · 29/10/2016 10:22

Ds weighed yesterday, back to birth weight on day 10 Grin Not surprised TBH he's a right little piggy!

OP posts:
MyBreadIsEggy · 29/10/2016 11:37

That's great Afresh Smile
Had DS weighed yesterday too, he's exceeded birth weight by 3oz, which is good, but the fact he's still a bit jaundiced even after phototherapy put a massive downer on the day Sad the midwife didn't discharge us, so I have to see her again on day 14. If he is still visibly jaundiced on Tuesday, then we will be referred to the jaundice clinic at the hospital Sad Having to spend another minute in that hospital is my worst nightmare. I have awful anxiety about it and have absolutely zero trust in the staff there Sad

Afreshstartplease · 29/10/2016 11:49

Eggy that's funny, we weren't discharged either...because of jaundice. But I can't even see it. He had a slight tinge about day 5-7 but nothing now. Eyes are clear white. God knows but yeah being seen again on day 14!

LillianFullStop · 29/10/2016 12:11

Hello found you all! I've been in a bubble the last few days but joining the post natal thread now.

It's day 4 and milk hasn't come in yet so been advised to top up with formula as DD1 has indicators for jaundice so she needs to feed more. Still haven't been discharged from hospital because she is on antibiotics - I can't wait to take my little girl home now.

Feels bizarre being in the "Being a Parent" section! That's me - I'm a mum! It still spins me out!

MyBreadIsEggy · 29/10/2016 12:26

Afresh DS's yellow tinge comes and goes - sometimes it obvious, he looks really yellow. But I thought he looked fairly pink at the appointment yesterday Hmm She said that the jaundice clinic will want to yes this blood again to rule out any underlying medical issues that could cause jaundice, or whether it's just normal, newborn jaundice which can be prolonged in breastfed babies. I was a bit Hmm when she said that, because he's already had his blood tested for a million different things when we went in for phototherapy, so surely if there was another medical issue, it would have been picked up then?! Really don't want to be taking my tiny boy back to that hell hole and have his poor little foot stabbed again!!

Afreshstartplease · 29/10/2016 12:52

Ds hasn't had any treatment or tests and it was me who mentioned it to her in the first place! Never mind. She obviously just really enjoys my company ...

lokahsamastah · 29/10/2016 14:18

Another one joining the jaundice camp, DD2's yellowish tinge also comes and goes but we've been referred to clinic on Monday 😕 Very fed up of hospitals now. Also hoping my iron levels start to improve soon, keep having heavy bleeds and my iron levels were already low so they keep muttering things about transfusions.

On the up side, I'm loving being no longer pregnant, no longer have HG and loving the newborn cuddles still.

Afreshstartplease · 29/10/2016 16:08

I am 50/50

I am enjoying having my body back but missing the anticipation and excitement of pregnancy

Eggy, just caught up with the thread. My LO was being a bit fussy with left boob as well. She's still in the NICU (day 16) but the nurse told me I had to persevere with both boobs as it'll be a lot harder to get her back on both later on. I worked out that she just dislikes feeding on her left side if she hasn't had a poo before feeding... now I give her a little baby massage to ease her belly and she's good to go on the left boob. Maybe give it a try?
