catgirl -I am laughing to myself- wasn't meant to post that second message- I was trying to set up a link to a photo of Samantha. LOL.

Emzickle- sorry to hear, hugs from here too.

I may ring up human resources and ask my rights- I won't give my name though!!

bendyb- congrats on your weight loss too. You going to a slimming club or is it willpower?

pmoore · 11/01/2007 09:54

Ok- I can't make it a link but if you feel like watching copy and paste the address. Sorry its a bit long its from birth.

BENDYB · 11/01/2007 10:33

so sorry 2 hear that emzickle, xxxxxxxxx

pmoore- lovely pics, samantha is gorgeous!
I'm gonna try do 1of them things later, i'm not v good with computers though!
I'm doin the slimming world diet aswell, not actually goin 2 group tho.

catgirl · 11/01/2007 12:08

Emzickle - hugs from me too. No decision about a second child is cast in stone now anyway. your dh is probably trying to say the right thing, rather than not wanting another one just yet.

I need to try the Billy Connolly 'eat less, move more' diet, which is as easy as it sounds! But I may look up some low fat soup recipes - this dull weather makes me want some homemade soup.

pmore - love the photos - especially where she is nestled in the xmas presents! hard to believe they were all that small to start with!

Gingeme · 11/01/2007 13:15

Oh Emzickle Im so sorry. Mummypossum is right though. My first 2 boys are 15 months apart so ds1 was roughly 5-6 months when I fell for ds2 and it was about right. ds1 was sleeping through and crawling etc so it was a good gap so I could concentrate on being pregnant again iyswim. Dont worry it will happen again
Lo and ds3 both have colds. Both are pretty snotty today and lo didnt sleep too well last night. Well weve got away with not having any colds up till now so cant complain realy.

taffy101 · 11/01/2007 13:56

{{{hugs}}} to you emzickle, you must be on an emotional rollercoaster right now but looks like everyone has given you lots of good advice.

pmoore your baby is sooo cute - how big do the scratch mitts look on her hands in the beginning!?!? Makes me all broody... I am supposed to be tidying house while DD in playgroup and LO asleep but am admiring your baby instead so house is staying a mess. Have multi-tasked though - ate lunch while online. Doing lots of multi-tasking lately - like dressing DD while on the loo, taking DD to the loo while bfing DS, reading stories while bfing (virtually everything while bfing). Anyhow should go and vaccuum my filthy house now but lo has woken up - oh well.

catgirl - i think ggglimpopos daughter was a case of SIDS. Alll i know is that she was 2 and died in her sleep. Very sad[].I think if you search threads with ggg in you will find lots of condolences, etc

taffy101 · 11/01/2007 14:08

heres a link to a thread about
maude as mentioned in previous post.

pmoore · 11/01/2007 14:28

bendyb- if you go to the www.onetruemedia.com website it is a step by step thing and free to make your own montage!
Am still trying to sort the posting a single pic thing though. I won't give up.

I've just been reading about ggg's daughter- Maude, how very sad. Tears from me.

BENDYB · 11/01/2007 15:32

pmoore- yeah i saw how u do it, hopefully i'll get time 2 do it later.

Thats really sad bout maude.

Gemmitygem · 11/01/2007 18:47

hi all,

am back in central Asia after marathon journey, littly behaved very well on the plane and slept! He's a bit confused with his new home but seems to be pretty much in the usual routine. It is bedlam in our flat cos we don't have a room for him (have to move) and his stuff is literally in cases on the floor till we buy a cupboard tomorrow. Still, he doesn't care as long as he has milk!

emzickle, I do sympathise, sending you a hug. I'm sure you will get to have your second little one, stay strong!

mummypossum, liked the veined marrows analogy! I had fun (not) on the plane bf in front of a lot of embarrassed oilmen heading out to Kazakhstan.. oh well.

Now very panicky about finding a nanny before I start work on 5 feb, not to mention writing out all her tasks/the routine in Russian as don't know the right vocab for baby stuff, only for aid work and chatting!

right, off to bed, night all

Rumpel · 11/01/2007 20:26

Hi All,

Sorry Emzickle- probably not what you want to hear but I am a great believer in everything happens for a reason and when it is meant to. Fingers crossed it's soon for you.

Gingeme Banffshire is quite far form Inverness - it's kinda inbetween Inverness and Aberdeen about 3 hours drive form Inverness!

Pmoore - she's lovely. She's massive compared to my LO.

Do you all find yourselves comparing your babies to other peoples - fascinated to see what their Lo's look like? My SIL emailed photos of their brand new LO last night and she is just soo different from my LO - weird how your mind works isn't it?

Gem - what do you work as in Kasakhstan?
My Dad's friend works out there too - oil.

nite all
x

Still havn't got a clue but thanks Rumpel. Theyre doing their journey in 2 stages half this afternoon staying at a hotel tonight then the rest tomm. Feel a bit sad that its actualy happened now but got to keep rembering its a good thing for them to be doing. I have a Simpsons name plaque on their bedroom door which is now ds3's room. Havnt got the heart to take it down though.
Put the cot up for lo today as he was touching each end of his moses basket. My parents bought him a toasty bag for Christmas and he looks tiny again in his great big bed.
Im good for the 24th. Dh might come with ds3 and have a look round the museum with him. Well Im off for my shower now. Night all xx

Gingeme · 11/01/2007 21:12

Oh pmoore your daughter is absolutely beautiful. What a proud family you must all be. We had the same haloween outfit. Your so clever and loved the music. Aw almost makes me want to try again for a girl.......

youngmum21 · 11/01/2007 21:21

pmore- samantha is lovely xx

Mellin · 11/01/2007 21:39

Oooh I love looking at other people's photos pmoore, your bub is gorgeous! One question, where did you get your baby bath from? That seat/support thing looks like a great idea. I seem to need about 5 arms to manage bathing dd, she is a squirmer!

Gem - Khazistan wow, what's it like living there? And what do you think of Bhorat?? Interested to hear of any tips you have for travelling with a bub as we have just booked to take dd to Australia to visit the family in March. 22 hours on a plane with a 5 month old.... can't wait [hmmm]

I am good for the meet-up on the 24th also, looking forward to meeting some Oct 07 mumsnetters.

Mellin · 11/01/2007 21:41

Internet tardo alert, that was meant to be not [hmmm]!

Swizzler · 11/01/2007 21:57

Pmore: lovely pictures. We have the same bath support - fab, isn't it?

Must admit to getting a bit broody again myself, esp looking at photos of DS as a newborn - he's great now but was so sweet when small and bleating!

Emzickl: hugs to you - have you checked with your GP? Ig you've bled v heavily it might be worth getting checked out to make sure you're OK.

Emzickle · 11/01/2007 22:34

hey guys, had a misserable day. Been to mum's all day with my LO so she could help me, I've been cripled with contraction like pains and passing lots of blood, rang EPU they told me to take paracetamol and stay calm, stay in bed... lots of fecking help that is.

Feel terrible, as I think i am having a mc and yet - all i keep thinking is that im losing another baby like my LO.

Emzickle · 11/01/2007 22:46

o yeah - dp has gone to pub left me alone with LO when i feel really poorly, cheers for all the lova and support.

marthahm · 11/01/2007 23:20

pmor-pics made me teary too, v cute baby. samantha looks lovely in pink unlike mine. great shots of you with baby. impressive technical know how.
taffy-i thought i was multi tasking when i breast fed on loo! you are multi tasking queen.
gingeme we just moved hope into cot. she looks teeny in it too.
emzickle-big hugs from here too. must be hard dealing with lo and pain and feeling sad all at same time.
would love to come on 24th but will see how she is nearer the time. have managed to express 11oz of milk today(incl. 3 at 4am!).also managed to get h to sleep thru with just bf 10 pm feed last night

pmoore · 12/01/2007 08:42

Morning all,

mellin- baby bath support came from mothercare think it was about £12. LO loves it as you don't need to hold them at all. It has got rubber suction pads on the bottom so we just put it in the big bath now.
Very brave that Australia trip, I am worried about my 4 hour trip to Cyprus in June!

LO just keeps on bringing back large amounts of her milk- very frustrating as I don't know why.

Meant to be picking my mum up to go to Costco in 45 minutes- still got to shower and get LO ready and have breakfast I don't think its going to happen.

Emzickle- hope you are feeling better this morning- more hugs to you.

Have a good day all.

Gingeme · 12/01/2007 09:43

Oh no got the cold lurgy today. Thought Id got away with it this year as everyone around me had it through the hols. Lo's got it too and was realy snuffly last night. Luckily it didnt stop him feeding though.
Funny were going to Costco today too pmoore. To stock up on washing stuff.
Bit of a personal question here. Has anyone had any experience of the coil? Dh is waiting for his appt for his snip but I want to get something in the mean time. Im allergic to condoms and had a cap but allergic to that too and its just too risky just to pull out. Ive heard so many different things about it. Some say its brill and they never had triuble some say their periods are all over the place. Any help would be appreciated.
What time are we meeeting on Wednesday? Morning is good for me as got a party in the afternoon. Have a good day

PrettyCandles · 12/01/2007 10:23

Emzickle {{{hugs}}}. The wait-and-see is tough.

Your dh is probably hurting too, but it isn't as real for him yet, not as real as for you. What's more, being a man he probably doesn't know how to deal with it.
