Gro bag advice please

I bought my son a grobag and it has two poppers at the side of each arm but he is too big for me to do them up is it still safe for him to sleep in the grobag?

The poppers are for when he is little, to reduce the size of the arm holes and prevent him wiggling his arms inside. The bag says use from 8lb8 upwards (i think) so the poppers are for the first couple of pounds. My boy was 11lb 2, and the arm poppers never did up. He's never wiggled out of it, he's too big.

My son is 18pounds so he definitely doesn't need them then thank you

Assuming 0-6 month size. So long as it looks like it fits him and he doesnt slip inside then its fine.
