Happy Birthday to all the ones in the group who have had birthdays so far this month. I find it really hard trying to get present ideas for H as i need to keep a good present idea for Christmas too.

T was captivated by thee display in our shopping centre and I was tempted to get her one - all 3 of mine would love it!

WL thats a good idea as she loves dogs. We are hoping to get a mortgage next year and then we are getting a real dog. I am very hopeful it all comes off.

H is doing a dance show on Thursday with her Dance school. She has worked so hard to learn the dances so i hope it all goes well.

How is everyone getting on? How are all the 3rd Birthdays going?

Ds was 3 almost three weeks ago now. He's got his nativity tomorrow. I want a dog, as I'm not allowed another baby.

It's done! I feel bad for her that's there's going to be a teeny window of birthday morning crazy before the school run. Then I absolutely have to tidy up a bit during the day before the big kids break up early from school and we have a little family tea party. Must make time to have some special time with her. Feeling a little overwhelmed today.

Have had such a lovely day today - family swim first thing then an afternoon of playdoh and Xmas music, followed by pressie wrapping and a Xmas movie. Early night for all but dd1 snuck back down and she and I watched bear grylls and barrack Obama together. So nice to have a bit of grown up time with her.

WL how did the rest of Ts birthday go? I'm glad you've had a nice day today.

To round off a truely shit year for my family my Grandad is in hospital with pneumonia and today we have all been told he is unlikely to survive. The Dr and my nan had a talk and agreed not to resuscitate him. Its horrible seeing him, but i know my grandad and he will fight till his very last breath.

Oh hales I'm so sorry. I know you are all very close. . I hope he's peaceful.
How was H's show? I fleetingly saw a fb post that I've been meaning to revisit.

Hales I am so sorry for you all! I wish you all peace, health and happiness for 2016. I hope you get to enjoy a quiet and fun filled Christmas.

WL how old is DD1 now? I have a friend whose daughter is 14 now and she is finding her daughter to be a wonderful, fun, interesting young woman. It gives me hope for a more relaxed future.

DS is being quite challenging at the moment. He rarely naps - he ideally needs 30 ish minutes a few times a week - now. But he seems quite unsettled all the time at the moment. The therapist is trying to help us with his concentration. So that hopefully we can sit down and do some activities with him that last more than a couple of minutes.

nutella she's 8.5. It's a mix of emerging older child with a sense of humour and an understanding of the world allowing some interesting conversation and still a little girl playing make believe. It's fun, interesting and frustrating. She still has tantrums sometimes but mercifully they are short lived when I say enough. She was badly behaved for dm and mil today and so didn't get a tree chocolate. There was wailing but I told her she had a choice - carry on and go straight to bed or quieten down and hang out til bedtime - make a good choice! When she was in bed we were able to have a good chat about choices and consequences, how we can learn from things that don't go well etc, and that tomorrow is another day.

Grandad passed away tonight with us all around him, he really did fight though he certainly didn't want to die. But he is at peace now and there is no pain etched on his face anymore. I am devastated.

I have just made the shocking connection that I am allergic to wine! Not all wine but how to tell which ones? Have had a proper allergic reaction four times now which I assumed was food related. Bah humbug!
