Yy to feeling sad at hospital pictures. Ollie's head bled quite a bit for the first 24 hours (ventouse and monitor in labour), so all his first pictures feature bloodied hats
How is your dd now?
You've probably been inundated with advice, but all 3 of us had colds when he was 2-3 weeks old. Annoyingly there isn't much available for snotty babies, but I found that saline drops worked reasonably for a while. I think calpol do them but when I purchased they only had the spray in stock so ended up with another brand to get drops instead of the spray. Apparently drops are easier to administer!
It's lovely when they fall asleep on you, isn't it? 
I've found a new favourite happy place in the last 5 weeks!
Theone I love the name Elijah - absolutely gorgeous. Finding it hard to balance getting rid of hiccups and over-filling/puking tbh - it's taking a bit of trial and a hell of a lot of error
