whyo Good luck with the paeditrician tomorrow.
grinning My LO slept more after the jabs. I hope your LO does the same.

LO has been sleeping well the past few days, so OH is doing the night feed and I'm doing the 6-7pm and the 7-8am feeds. Very impressed with this formula. Fingers crossed it continues.

Jabs today here too! Confused

L1ttleMissGiggles · 29/04/2015 11:46

We had first jabs yesterday and touch wood no problems at all. Hoping it will be the same for the next lot. Although it baffles me why they can't make the oral drops taste nice!

Grinningcat · 29/04/2015 15:23

DS was very good at his jabs. I thought the oral drops did taste okay as the nurse said it was sweet and he certainly took them down easily enough and was grinning afterwards. Now he's a bit clingy. Normally once he's awake he doesn't want to sit/lie on me, but now he wants too.

LancashireTea · 29/04/2015 16:18

Lo also seemed to like the oral drop but screamed a lot with the injections. She's all smiles right now, playing with my boob as she feeds. Grin But I'm well prepared for a velcro whinge bag tonight.

L1ttleMissGiggles · 29/04/2015 18:25

LO definitely didn't like his drops. Also screamed at jabs but this was short lived and he was soon smiling again. He has been a bit clingy today but finally got him to go down in his basket. Think we have been quite lucky to get no other side effects although I've not managed to get dressed today lol.

Addictedtocustardcreams · 30/04/2015 07:32

Hope everyone has come through jabs ok! DS only had a bad evening then was fine....DD on the other hand a week later every now and then gets a wobbly bottom lip and says "lady hurt DS's leg"! Think she might need trauma counselling!

freneticfox · 30/04/2015 10:04

We have second lot of jabs next Thurs, election day haha.

Dreading it after reading some of the accounts!

Giantbabymama · 30/04/2015 15:13

Hello, I seem to be slow to catch on to these threads as only just found this one. My little one is 12 weeks today. She is teething already which doesn't seem fair to her, poor thing, and she's in the "demanding to be held upright constantly" brigade too.

She usually sleeps until 4am to 5am but is firmly rejecting any form of day time nap.

Memphisbelly · 30/04/2015 20:24

Frenetic thanks for reminding me about election day, had to phone dh and tell him he can't work away as he needs to vote! Grin

Lo seems to have slept better last night still up from 4.30 though. I just don't know what to do? At group today they suggested he is waking as he can hear me and is probably in a lighter sleep so wakes and suggested him going in his own room? What does everyone think?
I won't be going to that group again I don't fit in at all, all the other kids are over a year old. They did put me on to a baby group that is a 6 week course for babies up to 6 month, there are just 6 of us, we do songs to babies, have a baby journal we fill in and they take pucs then give them to us the week after and we then learn something new this week was all about baby development.

Addictedtocustardcreams · 30/04/2015 20:55

Memphis: I would be a bit unsure about LO being in their own room at this age, it is against the guidelines. I am also not sure about their logic as why would you only wake LO at that time? I know my friend 's DD went through a phase like this but stopped again all of a sudden. Sorry not helpful advice!

MrsCorr · 30/04/2015 21:10

Memphis I think there something similar is happening here. When my oh gets up for work lo seems to stir around the same time. And sometimes I roll over in my sleep and can hear him wriggling too. I think maybe the first few hours they sleep deeply but after that any noise disturbs them. We're talking about putting him in his own room from about 12 weeks, I feel comfortable with that Smile we've got a video monitor as well so that puts my mind at ease.

Memphisbelly · 30/04/2015 22:47

Thanks for replies. LO is 14 weeks, ds was in his own room at 16 as he snored so loudly but LO is so quiet and doesn't move until he wakes. Dh is away tonight so I am sleeping on other side of bed to see if he sleeps past that point

Addictedtocustardcreams · 01/05/2015 07:46

Yeah had another think on my post memphis- actually I don't think anyone follows every bit of guidance- I know I don't! Would have thought own room not too much of a problem if you are doing the other things like baby being on back to sleep. I guess it all comes down to whether you feel comfortable as your aim is more sleep which won't happen if you feel anxious, but definitely will happen if LO sleeps past 4am! How did you get on last night?
We had a bit of a rough one but I feel like I am fighting off a virus as sore throat & sneezy so think LO may have fed more to try & fight it off too.

PeppermintInfusion · 01/05/2015 12:45

Addicted I was looking into this the other day, as considering when we'll move DS. Apparently the main thinking for them being in your room is that the sound of your breathing regulates theirs and that they might go into too deep a sleep on their own but the main things which decrease any risks are sleeping on their back and a smoke free home. If he's settled

PeppermintInfusion · 01/05/2015 12:46

(Pressed send too soon...) we'll probably be moving him in around 16wks. His room is right next to ours anyway.

donkir · 01/05/2015 15:11

Memphis, we are moving lo into his own room tonight. I think we're both keeping each other up. I'm waking at every snuffle plus oh snores and wakes him up. We're 13 weeks tomorrow. He also sleeps on his front but has a dummy which I believe also helps regulate his breathing. He is currently having his nap in his room for the first time.

tweety89 · 01/05/2015 16:55

I feel it's a bit too early for us to move him (and easier for me too actually) as when he's unsettled I give him the dummy or as an ultimate solution I use Ewan and I only need to move my arm half asleep.
We didn't move DD until she was 13 months mainly because we were in a 1-bed flat then. It didn't affect her sleeping pattern at all when we moved her to her own room. We won't do it so late of course, but I hope LO sleeps as well as DD when we do.

thingsarelookingup · 01/05/2015 21:19

Memphis we will put lo in her own room from about 4 months. It is just what will work for us with our house move. Ds moved much earlier because he slept better. You can't follow allowed he guidelines.

I'm praying for some good sleep tonight. Ds has had a blocked nose for weeks now and lately it has really messed with her sleep. It just makes everything so much harder.

Memphisbelly · 01/05/2015 22:01

Donkir hope you get a restful night, keep us posted.

Well I dozed off and he woke about 11 so I have him a bottle and he then slept until 4.... So technically one wake up, he then feel straight back to sleep once I held his little hand through the bar.

Tonight dh is doing the shift as I am so tired I cried earlier and my glands are up showing im run down. He will give a feed shortly and see how we go.

Memphisbelly · 01/05/2015 22:05

Regarding moving him although we cant use half of our brd room drawers as they are blocked by crib and to get out of bed I have to crawl to end of bed I don't feel ready, he doesn't make a sound as he sleeps its just the wake ups, I know all babies are different but as his brother never slept through for years I don't expect him to......but I don't want to be woken for him not to need anything.

donkir · 02/05/2015 07:35

Night 1 was a success. Woke once for dummy at 5 but went back to sleep and he has just woken up. I've been up most of night though worrying I wouldn't hear the monitor.

tweety89 · 03/05/2015 00:16

That's great donkir! Does he not wake up during the night for feeds anymore then?
Baby Jason woke up this morning around 5am after his last feed that was just before 7pm! We felt very lucky for the first time since he was born and I couldn't sleep after 5am even though I wasn't the one doing the feed! :) Saying that though, he did have almost 9oz last night so he was definitely full. Tonight he only had 3.5oz before going to bed so we're waiting for him to wake up any minute now...Fingers crossed he will wake up for the 7am feed. Grin

donkir · 03/05/2015 09:29

No tweety he's not woken for about 3 weeks for a feed. Generally he wakes once for dummy to be put back but that's it. Will be glad when he can find his own dummy.
