Just so we all feel at home

OP posts:

Last clue: he will be fair of face.

StuntNun · 20/03/2015 11:53

Eliza I need all sorts apparently: Ranitidine to reduce stomach acid, Clexane injection to prevent clots, and I have to get measured for support stockings.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/03/2015 11:59

Don't all planned surgeries need a pre-op appointment? Or are you referring to something else?
20th April then? Or 27th? It has to be a Monday :)

Pikz · 20/03/2015 14:45

20th then :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/03/2015 15:03

Monday!?....can't work out date. Whatever pikz said!

TheRealGracePoole · 20/03/2015 16:46

Goes back to 20th prediction.

StuntNun · 20/03/2015 18:28

Yep Grace was correct from the start with the 20th April. GrinGrinGrin But I thought we'd better have a bit of fun after I denied the quiche the opportunity of a sweepie.

TheRealGracePoole · 20/03/2015 19:05

Yippeeeeeeee!

MsJupiter · 21/03/2015 11:25

That's a lovely sounding date Stunt. Less than a month, how exciting.

StuntNun · 22/03/2015 22:57

The dog has pooed in the house three times today which seems rather excessive. Hmm

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 23/03/2015 09:18

Gross. Does he usually do that? If not I'd assume something is wrong.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/03/2015 21:07

DS had his 6-8 wk check today even though he's 10 wks tomorrow. He has to go for a hip scan. I'd not noticed anything wrong with his hips. Ah well. It's something I've not had to do with the other 2. Another thing to tick off the list!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 23/03/2015 21:13

DD1 had one of those Eliza but can't remember why. It was fine though they were just being cautious. Hope the same will happen for you x

Pikz · 23/03/2015 21:18

L had one because he was breech. It takes seconds and they tell you there and then if they are ok

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/03/2015 22:07

Thanks ladies. The dr asked if he was breech. He wasn't at the end but he was in the breech position for a lot of the pregnancy.

YellowWellies · 24/03/2015 00:03

Lil had one because she kept going breech - it was all fine and she slept through the scan. Lots of luck wee Manny xx

StuntNun · 24/03/2015 00:21

Check out FB for baby pics.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/03/2015 09:23

Congratulations stunt

Yy DD1 had the hip scan due to being breech so much. I remember now (with the help of her health notebook) when the paed moved her legs in a cycling mode when she was about 6 weeks she noticed that something seemed a bit off, but I can't read her notes in her health book. Anyway, scan was fine.

Ifyourawizardwhydouwearglasses · 24/03/2015 09:42

grace do you live on a farm? We do, keep sheep (and a couple of naughty horses!)

stunt good luck with the section, and congratulations! Do you know what you're having?

TheRealGracePoole · 24/03/2015 18:21

wizard sort of. We have built a house in the middle of the family farm. But we have taken advantage of some gov't grants to re Forrest about 8 acres and then plough a bit up for veg. Most of the rest of the land is now rented out to local farmers. Not sure how much there is all together as seems to be dotted about everywhere.

Congrats stunt awaiting your birth story! Did you go in for a check or did it all happen and you went in as an emergency.

Love love a birth story.

Just had a first. Dropped Ds1 off climbing. And left him. On his own. At a club.

Sitting here biting nails.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/03/2015 20:25

Evening all!

Thought i ought to post before you all drop off my recent threads Blush

Not a lot has been occurring in the pig house. Variable sleep. Much chat. Swimming.

Lovely to see pics of the latest quiche baby - who's next? Kyz can't have much longer?

StuntNun · 24/03/2015 23:03

All da babies are crying on the maternity ward. It sounds like a bag of cats out there!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 25/03/2015 07:18

:o bag of cats.

Hope you got some sleep stunt

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/03/2015 08:52

That brings me back to the day that DD1 was born. Just the sound of crying babies ringing in your ears. Any idea when you'll be discharged? is it just a question of making sure he's feeding well?

When's your uk trip gg. Soon?

StuntNun · 25/03/2015 09:29

It's a bit packed here so the staff are completely overloaded. I ended up sitting in a puddle of blood and urine for ages yesterday after my catheter backed up because the bag was full. At least four people came in to the bay and noticed the bag but by the time someone came to remove it the catheter had already popped out on its own. I realise they're super busy but I thought that was pretty unreasonable. I wish they would discharge us today because I suspect I would be better off at home snuggling DS4 in the warmth and getting lots of skin to skin rather than having him bundled up in towels to keep him warm.
