I'm going to bed in a minute, my mum is going to try to put A to sleep downstairs then bring him up without him waking. I'm not optimistic but I might get a couple of hours while he's downstairs at least.

STIGZ · 28/01/2015 21:04

Its coming down now, thick & fast now! Shock I'm itching to start running but everytime i plan to start the weather goes nuts!

Hope your wee man is a bit better today yellow ?

Kirstipops · 28/01/2015 22:32

Oooh I love the snow! Is that the snow only hitting you now Stigz, we've had it on and off between 6-9 tonight. Supposed to be heading into town tomorrow for a deep tissue massage and facial, using a Groupon voucher that's due to expire this weekend. Would be just my luck to get snowed in!

YellowWellies · 28/01/2015 23:15

Just taken the dog for a snowy spin round the block. It's lovely out there.

Thanks for asking - J is a bit better. Especially as he's no longer on the stupid double the safe maximum dose for his bodyweight that the out of hours nurse put him on. Gaaahhh no wonder he had an upset tum - he was on 20ml a day and should only have been on 10ml. He's lost 1/10 of his bodyweight (hard won weight for a wee lad with allergies and reflux) and now weighs less than he did in August. He feels so skinny. And his gut flora must be f*cked. Am raging!

I had my podiatrists appointment today. I've got hypermobility and fallen arches from relaxin hormones. Running banned for at least 9 months and possibly until I finish BF. Boo! Sad

wondermoose13 · 29/01/2015 01:03

yellow thats ridiculous! Poor little dude!

I have some rather fetching insoles from podiatry, my plantar fasciitis flared up due to pregnancy weight and spd -would probs be better now if i wore them but i cant be arsed wearing trainers around the house! Have they given you anything useful?

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 08:01

Aww, yellow your poor boy. Also that's rubbish about the running. It's keeping me sane at the moment, although I go quite slowly because I'm lazy the slower I run the longer I get without a baby.

Another crappy evening. I don't understand why some nights she goes to sleep after her bath and sleeps through with only one or two wake ups, and sometimes she goes to sleep straight after her bath then wakes up twenty minutes later and won't go down again although she's obviously dozey and so I end up just feeding her for hours. Last night problem compounded by the fact that two hours in she learned how to blow raspberries and was massively pleased with herself. It'll get better, right? I seem to be finding things specially hard at the moment.

FATEdestiny · 29/01/2015 12:10

Sorry you are having a tough time Tatty.

It's just started bucketing it down with snow here. About time! Three disappointed children when there was no white-out when they got up this morning.

sazzlehopes · 29/01/2015 13:33

Sorry you're finding things tough tatty I offer sympathy as we have mixed success here with nights and evenings too. The other night I found it so stressful trying to get both to bed on time and get dinner ready...I almost wanted to go outside and let out a huge scream!

Yellow glad J is on the mend but sorry you got given bad advice with dosage. I really feel that with all the talk about how antibiotics are prescribed all too easily over probiotics you'd at least think when they are really needed someone would double check dose??!!

It's quiet on here today, but maybe you're all on Facebook instead! Grin am I missing out?!!

Im hiding on the stairs as babymoose is asleep in his car seat in the lounge again! Im bloody freezing lol hes not far off waking tho i can hear the grumbles!
Plenty going on over on fb keeping me entertained :) including me having a good moan about dh who has decided a month before my mat pay goes to shit is a good time to get a new kitchen! Came home yesterday with floor tiles and a plan! What are you up to today sazzle?

STIGZ · 29/01/2015 16:23

Baby back to having a decent nap during the dayGrin (but for how long)??? So i cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and made up party bags with my dd1 for her party next week!! Cant believe she is going to be five Shock it really goes too fast Sad

Dp finished work early and took her sledging in a golf course, think he is enjoying it more, bloody big weanGrin

splendide · 29/01/2015 16:31

Glad you got a good productive nap time! A had two hours and I just slept (lazy moo here).

My MIL is about to arrive and they're staying 2 nights. Noooo, my precious routine!!! Send me unclenching vibes! She's really nice, I'm just being a dick.

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 17:05

The baby has finally capitulated to a nap. I've celebrated by eating all the chocolate in the house and now I feel sort of sick. I went to a charity shop earlier and cane home with a trashy detective novel, a pair of enormous stripey pajamas, a dress that might fit if I stop intermittently stuffing myself with chocolate, and a cheese plant, all for less than twenty quid. Then I had to get plant and baby home on the bus. Still, I'm pleased with myself.

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 17:05

Oh, she woke up. Rats.

MundayCakes85 · 29/01/2015 18:17

Had a couple of little mini naps today- she's asleep now but it's almost bath time!
Booked her baptism today for the end of April, really hope the in laws don't try to bring their dog (my poor suffering cat!)
My weight loss seems to have stalled and I've still got 1 1/2 stone to go to get to my ideal weight. Maybe my giant boobs are to blame not all the humbugs to eat ??

sazzlehopes · 29/01/2015 19:14

Awww thanks for askin Moose* we had a quiet one round the house at ds1 wasn't 100% and it was a good excuse to do nothing... Got a few bits tidied but not much else done. Just trying to feed N into submission and hoping said toddler doesn't interrupt and wake him!

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 19:34

sazzle i hope you get one of the good sort of evenings. We just had another two bath poos and she's gone to sleep but for how long, eh?

sazzlehopes · 29/01/2015 20:02

Thanks tatty i had a slightly better one last
Night actually N woke at 11, 3 and then 5 and then up at 6...so if I ignore the 11pm one even though I was in bed at half 9 then it's only really 2 wake ups which isn't so bad on paper... I put him down at 7 and expected to be up and down all night but he didn't even do his classic wake up after 45 mins! Fingers crossed for similar tonight.
It certainly seems to be ok putting him down earlier, I'm even relaxing with a glass of red - which I hope I dont regret!!!

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 20:08

Aww, rats, she's awake. I really don't understand what goes wrong because it's not like she wakes up in an I'm awake way.She just goes all clingy and snoozy but not sleepy

I'll go to bed at nine thirty if I can, sazzle. And I would probably kill a man for a glass of wine right now.

sazzlehopes · 29/01/2015 20:10

Good luck tatty....I'm sending MN sleep vibes your way and Wine too!

Babymoose has started sticking his tongue out a long way when hes come off the boob and wants back on, he looks like a puppy trying to lap up water! Anyone elses dc's do this or is he being a weirdo? Wondering if hes hurt his tongue with his constant muslin cloth chewing...

ohthegoats · 29/01/2015 20:42

I went to bed at 7.30 a couple of nights ago - the only night this week where I felt like I'd had enough sleep. I'm in bed right now too - it's 9.41 here. Lovely holiday treat.. instead of mainlining cheap red wine like the others I'm doing my new vice.. early bedtime.

wondermoose13 · 29/01/2015 20:57

I get in bed to feed babymoosr around 7.30-8pm every night. He takes hours to finally get sleepy so i just exhaust the internet and end up with a numb leg! Lol

ohthegoats · 29/01/2015 20:58

Oh and tatty, we're having the same problems - going to persevere with 7pm bedtime and hope that she stops waking up between then and 10. I'm wondering whether we screwed it up by immediately she started going to bed earlier rather thanat 10, taking the opportunity to get grandparents to babysit so we could go out. Meant that she woke up a couple of nights after the 45 minutes to not me or her dad - cue horrendous screaming as if she is terrified. Now she does that every night, almost in her sleep, until she comes round enough to realise that it's us, then she calms down.

Keep repeating it's a game...

tattyblue · 29/01/2015 21:51

goats I doubt it was anything you did. We didn't do anything, it just suddenly went wrong. And so here we are again, all having a cry.

ohthegoats · 29/01/2015 22:43

Well, I'm still awake... she's not slept more than 10 minutes at a time since 7. And when she is asleep, she's so bloody noisy I can't sleep. I can't wait until she's in her own room. 62 days, I just counted.
